EUA doesn't mean it hasn't been tested. I would encourage you to review FDA approval versus FDA EUA. As a side note, just because a drug or vaccinee is FDA approved and tested for years doesn't guarantee anything. Plenty of drugs are approved after years of approval and use and then removed from market......google Raptiva.

I agree. But when the FDA formally approves a drug or vaccine, there was a more stringent testing protocol. Also the virus is constantly mutating and these vaccines might not work in time. If people are really serious about beating this virus, they would take better care of themselves. Lose weight, quit smoking and try to get some exercise. We know this virus really goes after people that are obese. The people who are elderly, need to be protected at all costs. If that means a unproven vaccine, then so be it. But they shouldn't be pressured or discriminated upon. That is just ,my opinion. I don't mock people who get or people who don't get it.

two things that are true:

1) the vaccine is available to anyone who wants it. it is stupid that this discussion is even happening. at this point just let whoever doesn't want to get it face their own risks.

2) the vaccine is safe and effective. if for whatever stupid reason the nfl is making it difficult on teams whose players don't get it, they should just get it

This is precisely the point. The vaccine was developed because scientists have been studying coronaviruses for years if not decades. The mRNA vaccines were created once the virus DNA structure was decoded and they never required any change to them which is part of the reason they got here so fast.

I'm 63 and have issues with upper respiratory infections...so I consider myself in a higher risk group. I got the Moderna vaccine as a result. I now understand the efficacy of the vaccine is in the high 90% range..I'm happy about that. I also get the Flu Shots each year, and soon will get the shots for Shingles...so my mind is predisposed to getting shots/vaccines anyway.

If I was at an age the NFL players are, I'm not sure I would get the vaccine given the low risk of the age group for Covid-19. The tradeoff is there may be restriction to be encountered in various forms. Such is life.

i only got the covid vaccine because im assuming it will be required to enter canada

Why would it matter? If players are vaccinated, what are they worried about? They have that sense of security on a unproven vaccine that hasn't even been approved by the FDA. Stupid!! Just leave it alone.

My god dude are you for real? No vaccine is 100% effective. If I'm vaccinated and some dumb (frank) isn't, and that person gets a new strain of the COVID, I can get sick from that person being a carrier.
