I don't watch many Sixers games but it seems to me like Simmons can be really good in some games, pushing the ball, driving the lane. Posting up down low, defending any player on the court. Then other games he can be a complete non factor. He's an NBA player that literally cannot shoot. When he is away from the basket, they literally don't have to guard him. You can't have him be the passer into Embiid at the post because they can double without any threat of Simmons hitting an open shot. You want him on the court to defend late but he can't hit a foul shot. It's a real problem. One of the worst losses in sports I've ever seen. I think they're going to lose this series. Hope I'm wrong.

You’ve said it all.

It’s especially frustrating because when Simmons plays aggressive, as he did in the 3rd quarter of game 3, it is truly special to watch. Mentally there is clearly an issue where he is just scared to use his size to gain an advantage on the offensive end.

Evander Kane has earned over 55M in his hockey career. He filed for bankruptcy in January.

Let's say in the 4th quarter, the 6-10 Simmons is being guarded by a 6-4 guard. So he can't shoot so you think you have the option to post him up. Take advantage of the size mismatch. You can't. In a close game, they'll just foul him and put him on the line.

He's a max player who doesn't want the ball with the game on the line. Harris didn't want it either. Embiid was worn down in the 4th quarter.

That is wonderful as Bankruptcy is a very useful resource to use at your disposal. Smart people use it all the time.

Not sure what that has to do with his on ice performance.

You brought him up as a fresh face, new voice in the locker room, probably the worst guy to establish a new culture or team feel. It was a dumb suggestion

Yes new blood who can play. The Flyers have such good leadership what are you worried about? Then add Tony D on defense and you are set. Great suggestion.

You've convinced me then. I no longer want the Flyers to sign Trump to a UFA contract. There's that and the knock on his skating.

Will you get to see how York turns out in a Flyers uniform?

I guess this is referring to him possibly being traded in a deal?

I don't know, I hope we get to see how he turns out in a Flyers uniform.

That’s what I loved about Jimmy Butler. He wants that ball with the game on the line.

I’ve heard he’s probably the best skater in the world and could score more than Gretzky if he wanted to

I’d move Simmons for Lillard in a heartbeat.

You think Portland would trade a player who has unlimited range for a guy who can’t make a free throw?

Evander Kane is what this team needs. Is there a deal to be made? Then sign Tony D when he is bought out. There are some murmurs around the local rinks there interest on both sides.
- hello it's me 2050

What? If we brought Kane here, each of his teammates would have to donate 10% of their salaries just so he could maintain his lifestyle.

He still has value but it wouldn’t net a player even close to Lillard’s caliber.

Lillard would have to lower his value by demanding a trade and the Sixers would have to add Maxey, Thybulle, and multiple firsts.

Thybulle is hugely valuable and I’d be reluctant to offer him in any trade. Elite wing defender if not the best in the league that will be cost controlled due to his lack of offense.

CJ McCollum may be the player to target.

Tell me why you would care if that was the case? Is Kane a good hockey player? Does he add an element this team sorely lacks and needs?

The NBA is a make or miss league in this era. A player who can’t shoot a lick has very limited value. If Simmons was 6’2” he’d be a UPS driver

Probably true.

He was never a great shooter. But his inability to make a foul shot has reached epic proportions. It has to be a mental thing its so bad. How is he not at the line every day taking 1000 shots trying to get it down?

They will never win a championship as long as the opposing team can play Hack a Ben during the last 5 minutes of the game.
