I know you're being "realistic", but I find after beating Toronto and Winnipeg and getting to the 3rd round it's kind of a lame approach to have, especially after 1 game in the series.. oh well.
- Pat1993

what's lame about realizing you're good but not good enough?

meh, a strong majority of people thought the habs wouldn't beat TOR, and the same but maybe to a lesser extent against WPG, and now that they lose 1 game against VGK the fat lady sings? yeah, I do find it sucks to see it that way... but everyone is entitled to their opinion and way of seeing things.

I don't give a poop about what a strong majority of people think. you know I picked Mtl to win over Tor and Wpg because I honeslty thought Habs had the better playoffs team.
I think otherwise againts Vegas, and that was before game 1 which proved me right btw. I don't need them to play 7 games to come to the conclusion.

ok, I just find it's odd since you thought it was completely over when the laffs were up 3-1 in the series, and now you already have this conclusion after 1 game

They may not beat VGK but not winning one game? That’s a bit much with our full team

well, the way they played game 4... yep, it didn't look good at all. I agree. they surprisingy turned it around and we're all very happy about it. still laughing every morning when the alarm goes off.
Vegas are not the Leafs though. big big difference.

I just think we have a few kids who are not ready to play at that level (not blaming them of course), and the few vets surrounding them are not doing much. Toffoli and Anderson didn't impress me last night, far from it. and Lekhonen on the top line?? the kid tries hard but come on, he has no business playing top6. neither does Evans btw.

oh of course there's a difference, this is definitely the best team they've faced in the playoffs. just saying it's only 1 game, and if the habs don't take as many dumb penalties tomorrow we might see them playing more like they did in the first period last night... this is why they play the games, why lose hope now?

I think they'd give Vegas a good go if they were healthy, but it is what it is. Hopefully Fleury cracks or something.

who said I lose hope now? I picked Vegas in 6! Price may steal 1 or 2.
true that Habs could play a better game though, just not sure it will be enough. if they have another good start tomorrow and score 1 or 2, it may change things. big if.

See, I don’t see it as an impossible task IF they get their act together and they shoot at Fleury again and again and again. Say what you will about him being a good goalie, his rebound control isn’t great and nor is his puck tracking. If the Canadiens pick up those rebounds around the net, they can win.

I find it interesting the federal government tweeted saying Montreal is CANADA’S TEAM which is bullpoop they are Quebec’s team. It is a insult to every other Canadian team. Look forward to a 4 game sweep.

sure nothing is impossible, but you yourself used a big IF.
without a couple of amazing saves by Price last night, it could have been 5-1 or 6-1. easily. so even if Habs get their act together, my question remains. will that be enough? I doubt it.
that's why I'm not on the bus I guess.
