it's kind of insane that it all lined up that way. it took a lot of teams making monumentally stupid decisions to to build that initial roster.

ya for sure, that why I thought it was worth sharing. And its not even all of them !

looking forward to see how Seattle will do !

Overall, the best way to act in the expansion is most likely... to do nothing.

You're gonna lose a player anyway, just deal with it instead of giving more assets so you lose a different asset.

yeah i would say the best approach is to properly evaluate your own talent. like... don't trade Cole Caufield to Seattle so they promise not to take Ben Chiarot

Normand Flynn says Habs have plenty of small players like Caufield so it's OK.

Well yeah, but that's something that applies to every situation in managing a hockey team.

was like the time they figured it was ok to trade Ryan McDonagh for Scott Gomez because hey, they had PK waiting in the wings too

Well that wouldn't surprise me. He said Habs have other Suzukis so he wanted them to trade him for Wayne Simmonds. Next year he said the same thing about Caufield, wanted to trade him for Kyle Palmieri.

Guy has a neverending bag of dumb stuff to say.

The salary cap was confusing to some at the time.

Gainey thought he was the one needing to add assets to get a big money player. Not the other way around.

Vegas is very physical, not sure Evans would be a wise decision considering his his recent history with concussions.
- Symba007

agreed, 3 concussions within a year... give him some time. not like he would change the outcome of the series.

yeah i hear him on Marinaro sometimes. i'm always amazed by the stupidity of the things he says. today he was saying that you can't take Paul Byron out of the lineup because he tries hard.

ill never forget learning about that trade. i was dumbfounded by the fact that we took on Scott Gomez and even gave up a useful piece like Chris Higgins to do so. then it came out that Ryan McDonagh was also part of the deal.

Waiting to see the fun poop that happens this offseason.

Also the guys who got hoodwinked are literally considered the dumb poopheads of the NHL. Fletcher, Murray and so on. And they still run teams

prediction time...

Vegas win by a score of 3-1....Habs won't solve the Vegas D+backcheck AND Fleury for more than a goal.
