Has PE's guy, Bettman, said if next season will start at the previously normal time?
Also, has Canada decided that teams can enter without quarantine next season? Not sure how much lead time the league needs to go back to the normal divisions. |

GM of the Year candidates - Bergevin, Lamoriello, Zito.
Why was Stan not nominated, this is garbage.

The Hawks will sign Hinostroza. Maybe someone would want Carpenter?
Boston is going to pull a variation of Tampa next year. Since Rask is out for months, and he only wants to play for the Bruins. They won't sign him until he is ready to play, saving all that cap space. - LAHawk
Although many here would like Vinny back, I’m not a proponent of this strategy. Yes he scored a few goals, but he’s small, he’s a turnover machine w/o hockey IQ, and he’s just going to block another prospect, I would not resign him. That being said, he’s cheap and will probably take a home town discount, so I would not be surprised if Stan brought him back. I’d rather see guys like Entwistle, Gaudette, Hardman, Borgstrom, and Pour getting an opportunity and see what they bring, we already know that Vinny will turn it over at the blue line. |

Ya summer better, but I always seem to have ended up in Finland or Sweden in the winter.
Only a couple times in summer, that sun never really setting makes for some long drinking nights................. |

Wouldn't we need to trade them back a defenseman to expose? I don't see much upside to Foote beyond a third pairing. Hard pass.

I was a student overseas a million years ago. Had Eurail passes for Christmas break. Amsterdam red light district was "eye opening." |

I'd have thought it would have been more eye reddening. Probably both actually. |

Vinnie is what he is at this point. He's a hustle player with above average speed, average hands and maybe below average shot. I will disagree in your contention that he is without Hockey IQ. I think if you were to rate it, his hockey IQ is above average.
All that being said, I don't think whether he comes back or not moves the needle too much. Sign him to a $1mil a year contract that can be burried without costing you cap space. You know his level of play and probably what his ceiling is. He will not(should not) block anyone playing better than him and sets the bar for anyone who wants to make the roster.

Heads up that I'm traveling to visit family in Hawaii (wife's side of the family) yesterday through July 5. My blogs during this time may be shorter but still aiming to write 3 per week or as Blackhawks news come up.
I actually meant to post a blog today but was a tad jet lagged and fell asleep after dinner! |

Sounds like a huge management shake up Is coming this summer for the Blackhawks after reading about the alleged sexual assault against two Hawks players In 2010. Interesting story. |

Would guess there may be some Cubs and maybe some Bears fans in Hawaii. But nary but a few hockey fans. Doubtful any ice rinks.
You may dream to visit Hawaii. You definitely are dreaming once there and hockey is the subject. |

Don't worry he's being implicated in an investigation of the Blackhawks failing to report 2 alleged sexual assaults to the police so he'll probably be gone soon. |

Doubtful. Those people are gone oupside if any possible players. The players - if still here - long ago dealt with it. A PR statement, acknowledgement and explanation hiw it was handled firthcomig. Maybe some regret if it could have been handled better. But really teams are loathe to get too crazy or outspoken in the aftermath. Lawsuits and personal rights are very touchy. |

Stan was not the GM in 2010, Tallon was GM and McDonough was president during that time frame and they’re both gone. |
