We are talking about HIS HEALTH! He doesn't owe you, me or anyone else an explanation. I appreciate your frustration but it is inexcusable that you use the term "criminal" with this. Your statement could fertilize the Sahara Desert!!!! - Power29

I understand the Importance of a guy like Hamilton and he's very good at hockey but yet he's headed for his fourth team this summer and has never played for any club for more than 3 seasons. Confusing! |

Not enough. Columbus would likely want a 1st round pick plus another high asset in addition to Strome and Boqvist.
That's too steep a price to pay, IMO, especially during a rebuild. If this were the 2010-2015 Hawks, sure but not now.
Stick with the current youth on the team and in the system plus whoever gets selected with that 1st round pick. - Theo Fox
Theo does kubalik get shopped at the draft and if so what be a suitable return? I m only asking because if kubalik puts another 25 to 30 goal season most likely going to asking for 5 to 6 million per year if not more. Can the hawks afford him going forward plus do they see him in the future going forward as part of the core for the hawks. |

Isn’t that how most teams improve? Their kids get better, and they get lucky on a pick or two. Of the 4 teams remaining in this year’s tournament, five years ago, one of them didn’t exist, and the other 3 pretty much sucked. - Ogilthorpe2
So you think the last two drafts the Hawks picked players that are going to get them in the playoffs in the next 2 years then? |

Take this with a huge grain of salt considering the lack of confirmed sources but this rumor showed up on my Twitter feed. I don't read anything by Barstool but again, their post was retweeted by others I subscribe to.
The rumor is Nylander "went rogue with his surgery and rehab" and Hawks brass is pissed off thus trying to trade him. I don't know how you go rogue with surgery as I would imagine the team doctor has to authorize and monitor that closely.
Same with rehab but that seems easier to cheat on. Don't know how you lie about surgery.
To their credit Barstool also admitted to take that rumor with a grain of salt, too.
Likely nothing but garbage but interesting nonetheless. - Theo Fox
I'd be looking to move the guy simply because nothing that happened last season demonstrated that he was all that missed -which should have been enough without the need for any additional backstory.

I agree on big Z he is relatively young for a D man and adds something the Hawks are very short on . A D with Stillman Zadorov Murphy on it gives us some grit anyway .Send Boqvist to the A for 40 games or more he needs a confidence boost .Keith Kalynuk and Beaudin / Mitchell can fill in the rest . Nylander to me is a dead end watching his brother in TO gave me hope as he has been better ,but watching him in the playoff almost jump over the boards to avoid body contact makes me think it not in the Nylander boys DNA to play playoff hockey . - oldduffman
I'll keep big Z until I see him blocking our Norris Trophy candidates development.

Hey Theo!
Would Boqvist, Strome & a 2022 3rd Rnd pick be enough to land Jones & a 4th?
What do you think? - Power29
I'm not Theo but who/what in that mess is an NHL player? |

I don’t know, it remains to be seen. But you can’t just dismiss out of hand the possibility that guys like Dach, Reichel, Boqvist, Mitchell, Commesso, etc could be the start of a promising young core. Some will get better, maybe even shockingly so, some won’t. Nathan McKinnon didn’t exactly light the league on fire his first couple of years, and his team was one of the worst in the league just a couple of years ago. Things can change, rapidly. They’re kids FFS. |

Little slow this afternoon so I’ll ask to the masses - if every player in the league was readily attainable for a fair package, who would you try to target for this team and what would you be willing to give up? - TommyHawk
UFA Martinez
Roope Hintz
Ryan Graves
Martin Necas
Mikko Rantanen
Landeskog
both are costing you over 9 million.
no you are NOT getting me to propose trade pieces and get ripped here...

Reports out there that the Coyotes have granted prospect Liam Kirk the opportunity to shop around. Former 7th rounder but had one of the stronger performances at the IIHF World Championships playing for Great Britain.
Scouting reports tout him as a goal scorer. Maybe worth an AHL contract and see what he can bring.
Another former Coyotes pick, Brendan Perlini was also a highly regarded goal scorer from the UK. Maybe Kirk will have a better fate. - Theo Fox
Maybe if he was any good he would have been selected in the 6th round.

I agree with LFS that Kubalik is likely not being shopped given the team's PR machine talking about Pour's relationship with him. Never say never, though, if the right deal comes along.
As far as his next contract, let's see how 2021-22 plays out then go from there. The same goes with Dach, Boqvist, and others whose ELCs will be lapsing next summer or the summer after.
I imagine, though, Kubalik could command $5-$6M if he takes his game up a notch with 30+ goals and 60+ points.
The others are likely looking at more affordable bridge deals even if next season is strong for them. Use the bridge contracts as "show me" deals then they can cash in big on the next contract if they continue trending up. |

Oh come on were not winning a Cup next year or the one after or after that and so on .He not really blocking anyone that could not use some seasoning in the A .And I am well aware of his deficiency but if he can blast some ass hat on the opposing team into orbit every 2 or 3 games it makes me happy |

I said shop him his contract is up after this coming year. Why not see what the hawks could get for him. Does he get traded most likely no. |

Considering the year after Kubs contract expires, the following season $25 million come off the books, why? Just don't get trading a top 6 forward who can score 30 goals in a season, possibly 40.

Please, just stop with the 40 goals already. Look up how many players score 40 goals and who they are. In 13 years Patrick Kane has done it twice. |

My point was what his trade value would be. Imo he doesn't get traded but wouldn't hurt to know what his value is. |
