dont see how Hamilton get more than AP at 8.8

Dougie imo tops out around 8

- senstroll

I don't know where I got 9.5 from. Kucherov? I have to think Dougie would stay in Carolina for 8.

If they can sign Hamilton for a reasonable amount and then trade Rielly for assets, that's improving the team.

And I read somewhere on the weekend that apparently Foligno wants to return to Toronto.

Should be an interesting off-season.

Sure, if they can sign the most sought after guy on the market for a reasonable amount ......

And I sure hope Foligno was playing injured if they do bring him back

man, i hate that trade...iv soured on the foligno thing.
such a waste.

i wouldnt pay more than 1 mil for another vet "leader"

- senstroll

His back was (frank)ed source: Chris Johnston

He actually fit very well his first 4 games before the injury

I'm not ruling him out being back for a year...cbj will always have a place for him

That's Ek. He'll say "I'm picking Tampa in 6 but wouldn't be surprised if the Isles win in 7."

He's never wrong.

He was clearly hurt, we never got to see him really play when healthy. Id bring him back for sure if possible.

I think he'll get a Carlson type of deal as to what Washington signed him for.

would be great to split these numbers up based on zone starts though.

(hint: quite sure Hamilton primarily gets Offensive Zone starts without Slavin)

- MaximusAurelius

At 5-on-5 the Canes typically start Aho in the defensive or Neutral zone, so it wouldn't shock me if Hamilton gets the same treatment.

They rarely start those guys on offense because those guys are the ones who are actually capable of moving the puck up the ice.

Habs waived Perry twice and no team claimed him. I never understood that. The guy is money in the playoffs. Always has been.
- gergeswillems

could of been to move him the taxi squad.

foligno has been going downhill for last 2 seasons.
clearly not as good anymore as he used to be.
a waste of a 1st rounder, in particular hall, palmieri and savard were available as well.

From Steve Simmons;

"Rental Nick Foligno apparently wants to stay with the Leafs. That’s what he’s telling people. If the team can’t sign Zach Hyman, which is likely, maybe they can afford Foligno."

it was, they had to juggle injured/healthy players at certain position and he moved to the taxi squad a couple times

Yeah, once they had enough cap space accumulated, they managed to keep him in the lineup all year.

Yeah I don't think they let him walk if it's $8 million. Any higher and it's a problem.

That's where I think the biggest discrepancy is. His agent probably thinking he can get Pietrangelo money on the open market and the Canes are laughing him out of the room.

This whole thing is probably a "okay, go find that money then if you think you can get it."
