I believe Cizikas was injured. But Pelech? I recall he was injured regular season, but was healthy for the playoffs. Or am I forgetting a subsequent injury?
- JohnScammo

Pelech played with a broken or fractured wrist I believe in that series.

Edit: just saw this was said in another post.

Unlike the Bruins the Lightning will push back against the Islanders if they try to hammer and target one of their players. Watching Boston let McAvoy get eaten alive was a sight to behold to be honest, I could not believe they would not stand up for him though I also think McAvoy is somewhat soft he turtled in last years playoffs when both Cernak and Bogosian went with him. The Lightning will not allow that to happen, the targeted player himself or other guys the team has will keep that in check.

The Lightning can muck it up with the best of them and still win. What makes them so dangerous is the fact they can play any style and still win. I expect a hard checking, hard fought series, what I don't want to see is cheap shots like Palmeri did on McAvoy or Palat did to Pesce. I want to see the best players play against each other not and get knocked out with petty bullcrap. Hopefully the officials are fair and call it both ways. Going to be a great series just like last year.

Also last year the Lightning had no Stamkos, Point missed two games and played injured, Killorn missed a game, McDonagh was hurt, Kucherov was hurt, etc. I agree with you 100% we can't use last year as a gauge for this year based on who played and who did not. Its a whole new series, I am sure each coach has tweaked their game plan and this series is going to be a long hard fought battle. I feel the Lightning will win but would not shock me at all if the Islanders pull it off. Going to be fun to watch.

I 100% agree with this…

Dear Tampa Bay Lightning,

Please don't make me drive to the liquor store later and get a bottle of whiskey.

Good luck with your game.

good luck, isles...it's a pretty tall task and i wouldn't bet my bottom dollar on them beating the bolts, but this edition of the islanders has got a lot going for them and look really hungry for a series win against the cup-favorite

Tough match up for sure. If we can play our game we can beat them just remains to be seen whether we can or not… Thank you

The guy in the White House is an idiot. But the guy before him was a lying pos predator. So it’s an improvement.

Who am I kidding? We all know I will end up at the liquor store regardless of who wins.

He broke his wrist sometime during the series and played until game 5. He was out game 6 and would have been out the rest of the playoffs.

Thanks. For some reason, I have little memory of Pelech's wrist injury. I'm guessing Trotz downplayed it, so the Bolts wouldn't know to take advantage of it.

Come on man. Get it straight at least. I'm a bored Flyers fan. Perhaps frustrated if you wish, but well over the anger part since the Flyers season ended so long ago. I probably would have rooted for the Isles in this series cause I'm not a fan of non traditional hockey markets winning back to back titles, but the one jerkoff on here that made light of Pelle's crash has turned me into a Bolts fans. Best of luck though and your boys better stay out of the box cause that Bolts PP looks deadly!
- Phillywhiteout

I'm sure we'll all regret your decision ti not support the Isles.
You came here as a troll and therefore were/will be treated as one. 35 years too soon for the Pele swipe at you? Between that and Nystroms goal, you seem to be a slow healer. Loved Pelle. Met him more than once. His accident was both a tragedy and Darwinism at the same time. I'll leave it at that.
You are also an example of an accident and Darwinism. You prove that the left side of the chart still has a fighting chance these days. I hope for your mother's sake that the screams from her basement during Flyers games will one day soon stop....of course I guess she only has to deal with it from March to May.

Here we go.

Let's keep it clean.

May the refs be consistent.

The last one is probably a pipe dream.
