Can't believe he's going anywhere
- Anderdog

He likely won't, but if he does, it'll be Seattle.

They badly want to keep Reinhart, but does Reinhart want to be a Sabre?

Interestingly, the kind of offers they are getting is making them wonder if they are better off trading him.

I'm just assuming he wants to get out of here ASAP.

Probably, but they really want to keep him.

Problem is they were ready to trade him after Hall signed.

Once again, lack of any kind of vision and coherent plan.

I am admittedly biased towards trading much of the "old guard" and want to turn to the youth movement lead by Granato, so I am inclined to trade Rhino, Eichel, Risto and Olofsson (not part of the old guard in terms of years on the team, but "older" guy anyway). Those guys aren't old in years by any means, but each have been here for a torrid pace of losing.

Time to move on.

Sell Rhino at an all time high, move on. I wish him well.
Same for the other three.

It's frustrating. If they really wanted to keep him so bad, last summer was the time.

Trading him is the likely result, as Reinhart knows what they've felt about him regarding being consistently noncommittal about signing him long term.

His mentality may be sure, now you say you love me, but I'm not falling for that.

How anyone doesn’t this regime an F so far is beyond me.

I don’t trust Adams/Pegula’s to make the right expansion moves, the Eichel trade, Reinhart trade etc

I’m kind of dreading this offseason.

That's the key problem both with Sabres mismanagement for going on a decade: They were noncommittal again last offseason.

Reinhart knows they've been that way for years now. That's a key reason he wants out.

Can't wait for them to trumpet a return of Tuch, Glass, and the 21 Vegas 1st for Eichel, a 2nd, and the Sabres retaining 25% of Eichel's contract because: Eichel's injury and that was the best they could get, supposedly.

If they don’t get Krebs if he goes to Vegas I’ll just laugh.

Probably correct.
And and much as I think the Sabres Org as a whole is as dysfunctional as they come, a complete embrassment...

Rhino owns this situation equally.
Play the first 40 games in a contract year like a high schooler, then suddenly finding religion after a come to Jesus meeting when he missed a practice for all the wrong reasons, well it hardly signals "I'm all in, trust me".

Now, last season is different however...Adams was gunshy and kicked the decision down the road by a year. Bad, bad move by him for sure.

I think Rhino's frustration is way more about the reality his buddy leaving and the team is entering a defacto rebuild. His position is justified.

Trade him, thank him, wish him well.

Really just messing around, especially if we are gonna draft Power. But would be a nice 2LD if they wanted to go in different direction at the draft
