Yeah! And we are going to believe you address your wife that way! Every guy here who has a wife knows there is no chance you talk to her like that. I hope for your health she never reads this blog or there will be one less Chunk in the world. - paulr
Oh, I address my wife like that all the time. She just simply ignores me (and/or just flatly assumes I'm full of poop). She used to read the blog, but got bored/exhausted back when JJ was still running the show. |

So should the Hawks have told Kubalik, Hagel, Reichel, Beaudin, Kurashev, Zadorov, and Commesso to not play in the WC?
In all honesty, I understand what you are saying and your concern. I just (obviously) strongly disagree with the stance. - Chunk
Another point to look at is, when is the tournament. This one that just finished came after the season, so if an injury happened, at least there is the off-season to rehab. Dach played in a tournament close to the start of the season (if I remember correctly), so his injury had a bigger impact.
I do not think the team should have let him play in that tourny, and at that time. Now in a few years when his body has matured more, that could be a different story.

You mean in Rockford correct? - rpeters01
I agree with what Theo said. Teamed players like Wilkie and McLaughlin if mainly due to injuries then recall..Both have the type make up to be successful if recalled. |

Except they are signed to AHL contracts and cannot be recalled.

Theo hardly said he'd be a 3rd line NHL player. He'll struggle to get an NHL contract. That said, there's 3rd line players on Chicago, and 3rd line players on Colorado. Let's get real here and even if he makes it to the show, how many bottom 6 players do we need? I'd rather talk about guys who are going to move the needle, not fill-ins for an injury. This board is fantastic for discussing the 13th Forward ad nauseum. |

Regardless of the cap situation, do you want to pay a 3rd pairing guy $3.5-4mil? - TheTrob
Not in general. But several have said that Boqvist is being pushed too early. Who is going to take the hard minutes (even if unsuccessfully) until the kids can do it? Or do they just shove the kids in the toughest situation? |

She golfs, likes hockey (well, at least when the Hawks are playing) and is self sufficient. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. The only problem is that she refuses to engage in discussions about hockey, so here I am. |

Well, it wasn't HIS decision. He asked and Hawks OK'd it. Not solely on the player. Team granted it. Team easily could have said "no" but didn't. - SteveRain
Yeah, they could have. They want to have a long term relationship with the player, and I bet the Blackhawks feel it was toppling top leadership role, a chance for a tune up and a confidence builder for Kirby, and they know every game for every one of your prime prospects is a chance to be hurt.
I think this is was him wanting to represent his country play in his own province and they weren't gonna be party poopers like Ny Rangers.
and the whether we want to accept it of not, Kirby Dach needs to play and improve, and this was a chance. More positive things were going to com e out of it, but simply did not....

Here is a scary thought..... https://dawindycity.com/2...ackages-william-nylander/ - bhawk1s
One of the things I really dislike on the inter web are these sites where instead of placing all the info on one page, you make me click on several and my Malweare bites program still stop you from "learning about me."
The other is how easily a ME or a Vincent Parise can Gert enough hits to think we know something.
All I know is Willie Nylander is not leaving the Leafs for horse poop like first rounder, or some not quite there prospects, while Toronto has a limited window to succeed.
Those trades were horse poop. |

New blog! A look at Lukas Reichel's ELC signing and how next season's rookie hopefuls could shape the Blackhawks roster.
Plus, a look at the IceHogs re-signing of another budding forward in Chris Wilkie.
