You don't think he's worth it?
This guy seems to have everything you could want in a defensemen yet he's been traded twice already and now could walk as a UFA.
It's weird.... and not just "I like going to museums" weird. - Scabeh
He's 28 years old. I'd be fine giving him a big contract but not term. He's been a great teammate and great for the community, marketing, all that stuff. Guys seem to love him.
But he does have some pretty wild defensive lapses at times, and I'm not sure that with a flat cap you can give him the BIG deal.
I guess it mostly depends on how much they think is coming up from within and what they want to go shopping for.

Physical injuries are harder to fake.... at least I know a few docs who check out our employees that can call bullpoop sometimes.
The worst are the mental sickness.... I mean if the person keeps saying after a year she's having trouble getting out of bed and feel sad all the time and doesn't post pictures of herself at the beach club on facebook.... it's pretty hard to catch. - Scabeh
Reminds me of a guy I worked with who said he needed no leave early on a Thursday and take Friday off because of something in his family. Posts vids on IG all day of him biking from the south shore to laval (home of dt99999) that Friday |

Somebody did that to my girlfriend after her divorce she had a depression when she lost her kids half the time. She went boating with her friend, someone told her boss.
Apparently when you have a depression you can only stay in your basement and cry all day.

that's what happens when old people who don't believe mental health is a real thing still exist and are employers.
How can you be depressed you're not crying. |

It's hard to draw a line because some are actually full of poop but yeah, if anything going outside and spending the day with your friends should actually help.

FINAL CAP HIT : $98,840,470
FINAL CAP SPACE : $0
LTIR USED : $17,340,469
That's (frank)ing ridiculous... - stinger67
it's no different than when teams would sign guys to 25-year contracts with cap hits of $4 million and league minimum salary over the last 10 years of the deal. it's such a glaring and obvious loophole. i don't blame Tampa for exploiting it. i blame the league for not closing that loophole. i imagine they'll look at it now.

last boss: missing work for something between the ears? kids these days just aren't tough like we were back in the day.
also that boss: why aren't my employees as upset as I am because profits from this time last last year are only up 12.5%. I was expecting 15%! Now I can't buy another car. I need to find workers who care. |

I think they'll likely just put in a hard cap for the playoffs similar to the offseason where you can only exceed the salary cap by like 10% or whatever. |

Focuses his answer expressing frustration towards DoPS.

"I thought I was going to be tried to be shut down by Phillip Danault," says Mark Scheifele. "Instead it was department of player safety that shut me down."

It was obvious from the moment of the hit that he didn't care he hurt Evans.
His reaction to the suspension confirmed he wouldn't learn anything from it.
Basically, he's a god damn idiot.
