Tyson Barrie looked good because of the points he put up on PP with McDavid. but he can not play play defense and him and Morrisey together would be a nightmare at 5v5.
yes, he'd be great on PP but not at the cost he would be to sign. he is an over priced Ghostisbehere - Ross77

The hardest part is that nobody has seen the best Jets D line that currently exists:
Jomo Pionk
Stanley Heinola
Forbort Poolman
It's a better unit than people give credit, and I don't think the Jets D was too disappointing. Just need to give Stanley top 4 minutes and see what Heinola can actually do (my hopes are high). It's a shame Niku can't seem to figure out how to make the leap to the NHL, but I don't see him being much more than an AHL stud at this point in time. |

Agreed. I wouldn't turn down a Krug, Hughes, Girard, or Timmons.... Pionk and JoMo had solid seasons again. If you can skate and move the puck at an elite level. I was hoping Dumba would have been trade bait this year, but he looks to be Seattle's property now... That would have been a perfect addition. |

Pionk was genuinely great this year. I’ve grown to love him.
Morrissey, however, was bottom 10 at his position. I’m worried he can’t be recovered. Genuine buyout candidate if this happens again next season |

Same here! I think he was our best d all year!
I will give Morrissey another year and another coach to see if he can turn it around. Last night I was horrified when I was watching TSN, Lebrun was saying that expects Maurice back next season. I was like Holy Smokes….when is this experiment ever going to end? |

Sometimes as fans we are tough on our own players. As a Habs fan I can say that I loved Stanley's play along with Ehlers, and Vesalainen actually looked good for the quick showing doing the important details. Dubois was horrible, and Copp too. Hellebuyck played great also but man did his D leave him to himself. Curious as to which of our player a Jets fan think stood out most?
Respect Go Canada Go - DonCherries
The player that stood out for me was Perry. He seemed to be the most consistent threat every time he was on the ice. No one else stood out to me so much as an individual player but the overall team play was very impressive! The Jets were so embarrassing and disappointing. In fact I still have trouble believing how bad, but much of that was due to how well Montreal played the style they did. I think in game 4 Montreal would have beaten anyone that night. It was as if they had two more players on the ice.
I do think Price gets too much credit for Montreal's success however as I feel it was the team play in front of him that made his job so easy. Plus the Jets ineptness.
Montreal will be a tough out unless injuries occur to their main 4 d-men.
Tampa still appears to be the team to beat.

Maurice isn't going anywhere Ultimate, ownership is content with mediocrity. |

Every single guy on sportsnet and tsn think that Maurice and Huddy have just done outstanding jobs. It’s absolutely baffling and my only answer is they just do not watch or follow the Jets anywhere near as close as other Canadian teams |

Worst thing the Jets did, was beat Edmonton. It lets the higher ups ignore the fact the Jets lost 9 of 12 and finished 14th overall.
Now we can all enjoy the summer of Chevy when he re-signs Stastny, Perreault, and Maurice's favorite Poolman. Not to mention a couple of old penalty kill specialists.
Though I am looking forward to the meltdown the Jets fanbase will have when Beaulieu starts ahead of Heinola on opening day. |

I honestly believe Chipman and Maurice are running this team more than Chevy now. |

We should start calling him mediocre Maurice. Jets ownership must love that they have the coach with most losses in NHL history behind the bench. He’s at 670 losses right now, Jets probably hoping he gets to 700 losses to firmly cement that record. |
