biggest difference between now and 93 is that instead of having the Isles knock off the Penguins in round 2 it's basically the Penguins playing the Penguins - DoubleDown
Yeah.

As I said about a week ago, I'll always like Ray Ferraro. |

The further we go, the more that guy is gonna cost.

*Looks at top C's for Colorado/Vegas, recalls MacK's comments on Danault...no. His potential next contract value has had some up and down swings the last two years but this playoff run can't be hurting it |

Only thing missing is Tatar being tied up and dragged behind the bus. - Feds91Stammer
maybe he could appear as a ghost, as he's basically a no-show in the playoffs...?

It’s actually just the whole top line but I see why it’s Tatar that gets the blame. |

there could be a nice narrative going on for him in the next series if the habs play the golden knights... could be his ultimate chance to step it up |

Tatar will play.
He didn't in the 2nd round because the Habs never lost or never needed more offense.
We're most likely not sweeping either Vegas or Colorado, we'll need to adjust.
We'll need everyone to contribute if we are to win this, that includes Tatar.

How much would you give Phil?
Highly doubt Montreal lets him go unless he asks for way too much.

agreed, we know he can score goals, he just needs to get rid of that playoff monkey off his back, his offensive contribution could turn out to be very useful

In the aftermath of scoring the overtime, series-winning goal, Tyler Toffoli went looking for the guy who set up the goal, the guy whom Toffoli gushed over in the Player’s Tribune.
“He’s just a little guy,” Toffoli said, “I couldn’t find him out there.”

Now that I am done work and have time... On the GWG last night:
1/ I don't know how he does it, because it is not size, but Suzuki always comes out of those puck battles with the puck on his or a teammate's stick. That kid has tenacity.
2/ People talk about CC needing to shoot more, but the kid has crazy vision and slick passing skills.
3/ When is Toffoli not in the right place on the ice?
Seems fitting that line scored the goal last night, and they will be fun to watch in the next few years.
Also, have we ever seen anyone more excited than CC after the win? |

Well some reports said he refused a 5M for 6 years contract before the season started.
He had a "meh" regular season but is bouncing back pretty damn high in the playoffs.
So who knows anymore.

There were reports of a specific offer and term that was turned down but it's been denied by Phil's camp so who knows but I think the report was either $5 or $5.5 x 6. I think. Honestly forget at this point despite all the debate about it |
