I like Hyman but he is not worth a long term deal...He is likely worth 5M next year but after that it could get ugly.

Hyman will get paid, he has that player you win with in the playoffs shine...even though you never win with him in the playoffs

Definitely agree that Hyman likely walks (too expensive) and Andersen is not brought back unless he takes an unbelievable pay cut.

Rielly I think is the odd man out and a likely trade candidate. I just don't think the Leafs have faith that he's the stud #1 that he was trending towards a couple of seasons ago.

Is a trade for Seth Jones worth exploring? Is he a significant enough upgrade on Rielly? I'd like to think so but the fancy stats controversy looms...

If Hyman does leave as a UFA, then that creates a hole at LW, but I have to believe Dubas and Pridham already know what's gonna happen with Hyman.

Agreed, trade knowing that a contract extension can be worked out..

Jones is different than Rielly. On the PP alone, a threat to shoot will be helpful..

Foligno had a back injury. Dude shouldn't even have been playing at all after it.

Regardless of what you think of the trade the Leafs didn't get Foligno from that trade. So I find it hard to evaluate that trade.

In hindsight you trade for Hall...but I liked the move at the time.
