Habs PP went 3/5 in Games of 6 and 7. Didn’t give up anything on the PK which is 1st in the playoffs right now killing nearly 91%.

They scored 6 goals in those final two elimination games in total, one being an empty netter.

So yea when 60% of your non-empty met goals come exclusively from special teams and your PK is lights out or else you are sitting at home, I think it matters.

Just out of curiosity for sabres fans I’ve stated before I think Minnesota is the best fit for jack. While we can all debate what a fair deal should look like I would be curious to know if you only get the option between 1 of Boldy or Rossi do you think that the sabres decision to pass over Rossi would affect their decision in a trade? I just bring this up because I would see Rossi as a better fit but last years draft would suggest sabres management thinks otherwise.

I think the fact that they liked and picked Quinn doesn't mean they didn't like Rossi. Some on here disagree, but I think if given the opportunity, they'd acquire him in a heartbeat.

My enormous issue with the whole special teams argument is people pick and choose when it matters and ignore when it doesn’t.

Vegas had 1 PP goal in a 4 goal route last night

It obviously matters some (which I’ve always said) but I don’t worry about it that much.

The Isles will not score on the next 5 or 6 PP’s and people will blame them in game 6, pretend they should just go 100% all the time
