I think that’s where I differ.
My job that was remote was expected to be a available at all hours because I was home.
That doesn’t fly for me. My fiancée is in school still, I pick up the slack around the house, when my shift is done, I’m done.
If I was single, it would be a different story entirely - sbroads24
Companies understand and often expect the trade-off of the ability to work from home being a much expanded availability.
I'm not sure the expanded availability is a good idea from a physical and mental health wellbeing standpoint whether you're married with kids or single. |

what's the difference if you have 200 k in the bank or 235 K it's just a number
put that 600 a month in an ira or 401k instead of a car payment
the borrower is slave to the lender
- homiedclown
Put 500 a month in a Roth IRA outside of the work 401k, which is another Roth IRA at 15% contribution. I keep 20K for things, have almost all my poop paid off, outside of house, 450K 5 bed, 3 bath 2700 living space, paying 2K a month (did the 30 year tho)
Only do term life insurance. Whole is a scam that that’s how insurance dudes make their money. You shouldn’t want to ever have to use it anyways, and if you tell me I can “make“ 4K at my daughters age of 20 by just paying 8k With 50k on insurance imma punch you in the throat. Cheap term is all you need ( goes a long way too).
Daycare is what’s biting my ass right now. Soon to be 3 littles in daycare is gonna be more then my mortgage, and I’m not exaggerating.
If your company offers nice benies, you gotta at least look into them. I get a 1500 match on an HSA, paid cash for all my kiddos births with a 10% discount because of it. Have friends that are still paying for their 2 year old birthing costs.. be responsible now and it’ll go a long long ways |

The cost of daycare is mind numbing, and frightening. |

Good Post SD
Smart I put 30k in a mutual fund when I got out of the service "amazing how much money you can save when your deployed for basically 2yrs" and am reaping the benefits right know. Plus I bought a lot of gold and silver when I could. Payed for my Daughter's college and soon my Son's |

It is, and then you go to a funeral for a friends daughter because they chose a not great facility, her neck gets caught on a rope as she’s going down the slide, and suffocated. Didn’t have the correct number of teachers there, and one was on their phone. My daycare pays a little more, and your phone gets locked with only the manager having an emergency phone available. Wish this wasn’ta true story but happened a month or so ago. |

We got lucky not having to do daycare, I worked days and my wife worked 2nd shift, never get to see each other much but it saved 500-600 dollars a week. |

Very good read, maybe we can get Mann to sign on the dotted line, along with drafting 1 of these guys. - Buff36

Think we could get 2/3 of them. Need to know what's going on with Jack and to some extent Rhino to really get a feel for this draft. Really hope Eichel is moved before the Expansion draft. |

If all these players are moved, should be a haul coming back, with players and picks. With some of those picks being able to be used in other trade scenarios before the Expansion draft and teams in cap trouble. - Buff36

Yeah, that was a tough one. I used to complain about pricing at my DC all the time. Now it’s just sometimes a grumble here and there. Tell ya, would rather pay a little more and have that sense of my kids are in good hands |
