thanks broads. I get the notion that Byfield is untouchable, and they have so many other pieces that they can move for Eichel. I don't blame the Sabres for holding a hard line here, but you have to think, conceptually, is getting Turcotte, Kaliyev and Bjornfot better than Byfield, Madden and (maybe)1?

I want to say it's ominous that a medical decision hasn't been released publicly yet and that a decision should have happened by now. They've had months to figure this out. The Sabres holding him back from getting this thing fixed is eating into his time to prepare for next season.

I think u have this confused with something/someone else

Kempe signed a 3year deal in 2019, that ends AFTER next season
He & the Kings weren’t allowed to talk extension this past season
It can only happen AFTER this season is officially over

Take this with a grain of salt, but my buddy has been right on a few of the things I have posted


Eichel to LA is basically a done deal if LA includes Byfield.

Probably still a done deal if they don’t.

I know, it's mutual. This is asset management and a massive gamble. You really want to get rid of your franchise player because of a medical disagreement? Or do they simply not like him enough to say whatever, go somewhere else, we'll move on with whoever comes back in a trade because we don't want you around. Has it really come to that?
