We shall see Dog. Until Rod the Bod signs his extension in Carolina, I believe the Sabres will go hard to get the Bod, especially if they get eliminated tonight.

meh...details....risto for patrick
- Michael Pachla

Why would we trade a braindead defenseman for a forward whose brain doesn't work?

Patrick is nothing more than throw-in worthy at this point of his career.

Philly would be stupid to trade him now unless they have no hope for him. If they can figure out a way to help his migraines then maybe he can be something, but it's not looking great. Already missed a full season and this year was bad, bad, bad.

Depends on the direction Detroit is taking. I think Johnson is a conversation starter.

That's why I said it, but what do you think they really are gonna get for Rhino.

A similar return to what Colorado received for O'Reilly.

Tbf to him, they were playing him on the fourth line with no bodies, trying to get a skill player to be a grinder for some reason. His skill level is still really high, and should be a buy low candidate. Not to mention, some think moving Risto is addition by subtraction

So what would be wrong with Elvis, Foudy and a possible pick

I don’t have an issue taking a d-man #1 overall if he’s the BPA.

I’m not 100% certain Power is even better than Clarke or Hughes.

- Pegullaville

Go watch the worlds then. Best defenseman Canada had and he was 18.
I've come to the conclusion he has to be our pick.

Look at every cup winning team in the last 20 years. Almost all have a Norris defenseman.

i am all for picking him if thats the caliber of player he can be... our defense could be dynamic with all that we have.

It's a widely known, poorly kept secret that if Rod goes anywhere else, it'll be Seattle with Francis running the show there.

Last time I used a small sample size such as an international tournament to influence my opinion on a player it was Mittelstadt and it led to a higher ceiling than anticipated.

I watched the worlds, Power is a good player, but when you put up the same points per game as Noah Hanifin in college and you have Beniers, Johnson, and several other NHL prospects on a stacked U of Michigan team, I question his offensive ceiling.

The guy had 3 goals in 27 games in college and he’s going to all of a sudden turn into a high offensive upside player in the pros ?

Not too mention he’s 6’6 and 234 pounds and is not physical at all and doesn’t maximize that attribute. Being “quick for your size” doesn’t mean much if he plays like he’s 5’10 195.

Looks like Hedman, plays like Jokiharju.

I hope he goes back to college and takes a huge step forward or I think we will regret it. Power should be a top 4 d-man but I think there are more impact forwards.

Sorry not sorry

Except Mitts didn't play against NHL talent. WJC and the Worlds are a bit different... Power showed he can play with the big boys. I haven't seen that from anyone else in this draft. Except Eklund.

And how you gunna compare Kessel-lite to a Canadian Defenseman. C'mon man Americans being compared to Canadians in Hockey

Take this with a grain of salt, but my buddy has been right on a few of the things I have posted

Eichel to LA is basically a done deal if LA includes Byfield.

Probably still a done deal if they don’t.

If it doesn’t come true feel free to roast me

Colin Miller wore an “A” for Team Canada.

Says all you need to know for the type of “NHL talent” that was at the Worlds.

Someones still mad his team got beat out by a horrible Canadian Team. Couldn't even beat 'em on their worst day.

He's an NHLer no?

They were NHL talent, Power showed he could play with and even better than them.
