You know what else does? Drafting a player like Jack Eichel and not (frank)ing it up. If you trade Eichel away you will be looking for him for 15 years.
- Wetbandit1

You will get another player in the 2022 draft comparable to him.

Shut up about selling the team, you keep saying this. No need for that, just get it right.
- Buff36

This is a bit of an overaction eh? Selling the team should be a top 5 option on the table this year, a decade of only consistent losing. Brand is down, embarrassment of the league, players hate it, middle management is an impossible job. Tickets sales getting lower by the year.

Shutting up about the absolute biggest problem in this organization is quiet the opposite of what fans should be doing.

Convince Skinner to waive to Seattle. Trade Jack, Skinner and Okposo to them for #2. They get a player in Eichel way better then Beniers to start their franchise. They have the money to absorb skinner and okposo.

We draft power and Beniers. Sign Sam to a 7x7 (we have the money now). We suck next year but have Sam play the tough lines while cozens and mitts develop. Keep powers and Beniers in college.

Draft top 3 next year.

In 2023 bring Beniers and powers up along with our top 3 2022 pick. We will have TONS of cap space without having Eichel, skinner and Okposo (25 million from them!). Sign the top 3 FA to one year deals at over cost (like we did with Taylor hall)

Win in 2023 already with the hired guns and our new core. Decide what FA to sign long term or just roll with your new core that got a taste of winning.

No your not losing on the Eichel trade, it’s a long term plan. Yes you want that cap gone from skinner and Okposo in this scenario, it’s another long term plan. You keep Sam because when you start winning he is only 26/27 years old. Sum of all moves greater then individual parts.

Your core is young and studly and you have a great cap.

- Fattony1187

What do none of you get that Sam does not want to go through more losing.... none of these older guys do. They've been here and lost their whole careers. He wants a fresh start.

Sams probably my favorite player but hes frankin gone boys.

You must of skipped over half my post. The skinner money is going to be used elsewhere. He absolutely needs to go. His contract is too long term. My scenario you keep Reinhart anyway. Your gonna hit the floor
- Fattony1187

i highly doubt skinner waives his nmc for anything...it would seem as if he calculated his trade to, and eventual re-signing in, buffalo for a reason...and that would be to stay there...i could be wrong, and/or his sentiments may have changed, but i think buffalo is where he wants to be

Were going to have a lot of ELC's and cheap contracts might as well keep him to stay at the floor.. Hopefully he can get back to putting the puck in the net..

Unless you are getting it in writing that this team will not be moved then NO there should not be any consideration on selling the team. Just get it right, give the resources needed and go enjoy life on the Yacht.

They need a minority owner a la "managing partner Larry quinn"

Someone with skin in the game to make decisions. Preferably someone with a hockey background who could buy in as a minority owner

Danny Briere sounds fine. $67m in career earnings. He can put down $20, right?

I use to play travel and I've got some money saved from the pandemic... I'll show these Pegula's how to run a team.

Which hasn't happened in 10 years of ownership, foolish to think that will change now.

No chance the Sabres will be moved out of Buffalo, ideally a media specialist takes ownership, leave the hockey team to the hockey guys, recognize the value in the organization is the fans. With the ability to interact via social media and other avenues they should be bold and find a blend of what the hurricanes are doing and the NBA, allowing players to become celebrities.

Players ability to generate multiple revenue streams, it will raise the desire of free agents to want to come here.

The organization needs to embrace its a small market team, but online is where they have the ability to exponentially grow.

Yep we drafted Tavares and got nothing back for him. The Sabres have the advantage of getting assets that should most definitely help them jump start their build.

Where would they move the Sabres to and why?

Top 5 in tv viewership for the last 20 years, Pegula has single handedly destroyed the on-ice product, which has lead to horrible media reviews.

If anything Pegula should keep the team and move to save his own name, currently with his name attached to the Sabres, they are the joke of the league.

New owner wouldn't have to move to generate fan growth an participation its right there, no one wants to interreact with Terrys product.

I don't know Portland, Quebec. They don't need to sell the team to get better reviews or generate more fans, just put a better product out and it will happen. Your opinion is your opinion, I would rather not take a chance and hope Adams and Company get it right.
