The Penguins and Bruins have been the better overall teams than the Islanders...but the Islanders have gotten the goals and goaltending to win.

It's not insulting the Islanders, quite the opposite. Speaks volumes of a team's character when they can pull out some of the wins they've gotten.

Pens fans worshiped Jagr--much less so than Mario, but still he was revered--until his "dying alive" episode before the trade to Washington. Angst towards Jagr in Pittsburgh only happened after he left and intensified when he spurned (reportedly) Pittsburgh overtures to play in Philly...
Any ill will towards Malkin has only come from media pushing the narrative that Malkin should be traded. Everyone knows Sid isnt going anywhere, and when the team has struggled in post season, the media leans toward Malkin as a scapegoat. The media wanted someone to "move" to "solve" the Pens problems and Malkin always seems to be the media's choice. The fans do not fail to respect what Malkin has done.
Next time get a clue before launching an accusation like that from Western NY against fans in Pittsburgh

They really aren’t. What rule book are we using? NHL rules Pens win 80%. Playoff no rule book they can be held trip and interferes with endlessly. Refs are the third team and decide half the playoff games.
