Incredible... that Perry/Staal/Armia line is a handful, so fun to watch them cycle the opposition to death. Heavy, truculent line that just creates havoc!

And that top 4? The one we all dumped on all year? They came to play, definitely a mean bunch, making life miserable for forwards.

Zuuuuuuuuuuuk! Just the tip of the iceberg for Slick Nick, clutch performer and a difference maker!

Oh and how much does Price make again?

I think they got it tonight.

This team has more blue-collar type players on it and not facing a litany of injuries at this time to the key players. Plus, that 4th line is playing the playoff-style game scary good recently.

You know, perhaps there was something to this Bergevin call: This team is built for the playoffs. They barely made it there but once in and they decided to buy in to the system to coach was advocating for, it’s hard to argue that they didn’t take to playoffs hockey like a fish to water.

Buffalo being the last team to sweep and then get swept in 1993 is yet another interesting wink to the last conquest...starting to see a lot of similarities, and yet, I still pinch myself at times.

If you had told me that 4th line would not only be effective, but excellent at the end of the regular season, I'd have laughed in your face. Staal still misses the net by 50 feet when he shoots sometimes, but thankfully he's not the trigger man. I had some expectations for Perry as a playoff guy, but he absolutely smashed them.

It seems whoever I slight in anyway always plays excellent ie the Golden Knights last game or Armia and Staal, so Habs suck for not winning in 3.

Too right, Perry is the kind of vet you want around in the playoffs, doubt he’ll stay next year though, dont think he’ll want a league minimum contract 2 years in a row but boy I’ve enjoyed cheering him on this year.

Successful playoff stories are borne from unexpected places on the 3rd and 4th lines. Lucky for us right now the 4th line is pretty much putting up top line quality minutes and doing it at a deadly slow pace...
