If I were the goalie that kid wouldn't have any teeth left. There's skill and there's being a hot dog and showing up the other team. My parents didn't beat us or spank us but my dad would have beat me if I even considered pulling that poop

I mean GM is where he's best at trades and alot of the FA he brought in were bang on.

It's really the amateur scouting departement that has not given him a gem with the exception of MAYBE Caufield.

My plan is to fire Timmins and hire Quintal as a president to oversee Bergevin.

Also I was Goeff Molson all along

Well Mdcdonaugh was a great pic too

Even then I'd argue Caufield fell in their laps, almost every one of us would have made the same pick. Once Philly took York it was obvious and Caufield was handed to them on a silver platter. I'll give them points for not over thinking it at least
- Takemedrunkimhome

dont be that guy, Caufield was a great pick, just give it to them, there so few (good ones) of them...

Playoff KK seems nice too...now if he can oput it together during the season !

Parents of these kids are usually the first ones to whine when "something is not fair".

Nullify the goal, and give him 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Will go away soon enough.

I quit coaching a while back because of parents. I'd actually argue most are great, helpful, generous with their time and generally respectful and appreciative. But those two or three complete bags of poop that are too blind to recognize themselves make the experience so unenjoyable I don't know how they find people willing to do it

is it too soon to say that this Staal trade was actually a good one?

Caufield was a great pick and I did give it to them for not over thinking it. The reason he likely was available there is that other GMs overthought it. But he did fall in their laps. Again, not a bad thing because they didn't over think it and they made the pick.

If Kotkaniemi never becomes more than a 40-50 point regular season guy but performs well in the playoffs I won't be upset at all. If he develops to both it clearly is better but the kids in general short of Romanov have been impressive in the playoffs this year and last

Amazing what a few playoff games can do but yeah, it's hard to argue it wasn't a great trade based purely on the results

I think they only take into account the regular season. I could be wrong.

They vote at conference finals time I think. The one year recently it was the 4 GMs in the conference finals as the top 4

well they suceeded where others have failed then ! Kid is really impressive, feels like he been playing with Suzu-kiki or 2 years but he only been there since the very end of the season. When he will get the confidence to take those one timers, if he doesn't get hurt. he gonna be a Star.

Well i'm hoping for more than a 40 pts player at 3rd overal, but your right it would not be the end of the world

I've said it a few times but Caufield and Suzuki together are going to be fun to watch for a long time. Been a while since the Habs had that. (The length depends on your PK stance probably)

KK will become a 70 points monster and turn into the finnish Getzlaf he was always destined to be.

It's happening.

we have to go back very very very very very very very far to see two young forwards with that kind of talent on a Habs team.

I'm not sure he has the talent to become a 70pt player.

24 y/o Recchi is a bit old imo.
I think we have to go back to 86.
