The New York Saints...puh-lease. NHL officiating is bad as a whole but I would hardly call the series one-sided in our favor. It's just gamesmanship, obviously.
The refs know better than to react to public comments like that. In fact, like with Barzal earlier in thw season, complaining can work against you

They asked Trotz about Cassidy calling them the NY Saints and he responded “you’ll have to ask him what that means, we were the least penalized team with 152 penalties during regular season so I’m not sure what he means, you’ll have to ask him.” Fuking trotz is the best.

The New York Saints...puh-lease. NHL officiating is bad as a whole but I would hardly call the series one-sided in our favor. It's just gamesmanship, obviously.

I love how NBC followed up on that embarrassing display by Cassidy calling it a great example of an excellent coach. Hysterical. He looked like a clown to me. If the refs give him what he’s looking for because he whined like a little biotch on National tv then this league can go (frank) itself.

I think that those comments hurt him in the eyes of the refs. He’s insulting their profession. We all feel they’ve been bad, not just Bruins fans or Pens fans, all fans. It’s a fact they make mistakes. The difference is you’ll never hear Trotz comment on that, at least not in the way Cassidy did and two games in a row. Total Joke.

He's spent most of this series yelling at things. Almost every time he's on camera

The officiating has been horrendous, though. And it's all over the ice (and in every series). At least three of the calls tonight, against both teams, were for practically nothing compared to what they were letting go through most of the rest of the game.

As for Cassidy, though, no matter how bad the calls on your team, 25% on the PK probably means trouble.
