Sorry, I’m too stupid to understand your typing word making. I humbly bow to your superior intellect, you are so smart.

In the immortal words of Mel Blanc

What a maroon.

Macaroons are great you should try one. it may sweeten up your sour bashing Canuck disposition. Though straightening out the logic twist and failure to recognize development issues may require a Mel Brooks History of the World crash course.

Remember when Benning said we could be competitive with a quick retool ? That was a lie.

I disagree, I think he truly believed it. This makes him a terrible judge of talent, not a liar.

That was just an unreliable communication method. Maybe you just failed to receive Jim's attempted communication?

I recognize development issues fine. The organization let public pressure (show us the new kids) dictate their decisions. Those two guys absolutely should have gone back to junior, as should whoever they select this year.

JB didn't earn that, the players on the ice did and Jim just rode their coattails.
But this trophy was earned by the person who received it:

Maybe Benning did?

“We’re going to get something worked out there,” Benning said confidently on Donnie & Dhali. “He is an important guy in our group and, like I’ve said before, he’s good at what he does. We’ll get that figured out.”

- VanHockeyGuy

He'll run out of time.

Honestly he is quite good in EN situations, helps close out wins, plus Green trusts him in those 1 goal close out situations

why are you so confrontational? people can have different opinions without you talking down to people.
- Codes1087

Don't blame him, you guys keep talking to him and fall into his trap. Last time we just all ignored him and he went away.

Benning is to the Canucks as what Jar Jar Binks is to Star Wars: a bumbling idiot who sometimes gets things right (usually out of clumsiness and stupidity) and is more so a character that you'd rather not hear talk.
- NewYorkNuck

Which is weird because isn't Jar Jar actually THE dark lord of the Sith controlling EVERYTHING like Benning lol

How do you know he is?

Most media who deal with him face to face say that Jim's a good hockey man and a good person

- Nucker101

More like an excellent Hockey Man.

He actually was a good player, but I believe you said he “knows what it takes to win on and off the ice”, which would infer that he was a winner as a player and as a manager.

Gillis merely rode the coattails of the previous GMs who built an amazing core.

That's pretty lame. He brought in two of our top 4D, our 3rd and 4th line C's, a top 6 wing among other things.

I agree rushing Jake into the NHL was his problem . It had nothing to do with booze ,drugs , over eating , chasing women and lack of exercise.

He could have been, but he wasn't. They changed the character/arc so that he stayed the bumbling idiot and was relegated to the background... just like Benning will be
