Vegas is overrated imo, but Colorado is who they'll be playing and they are defintiely not. I guess it's not impossible, but I'd lay Colorado a 4:1 favorite.

Crosby signed a 12 year contract that tacked on 3 years at 3M per year at the end of it to drop the cap hit to 8.7M. When the Pens won in 2017 he was being paid 12M. Those types of contracts are no longer legal in the NHL.

What I'm saying is I think he could have commanded more if Ovechkin was getting 9.5 M. He didn't take a massive pay cut, but a pay cut nonetheless.
