Probably end of the line for him with the Flyers. |

You guys think Patrick + Myers gets Jones? |

Very possible. If the flyers add in the rights to Morin it may put it in their favor. |

Funny, it was just like 2 days ago Bill was saying Sandstrom would be doing the bulk of the goalie work for the Phantoms this season. I don’t think this is much of a loss. |

They would have to throw in a high pick and possibly another asset because I think other teams will beat that offer with just Patrick and Myers.

it isn't for this year at least. Maybe he goes there plays well and comes back. He will be 25 so unlikely.

Come on Fake is arguable a top line winger. He produces. He is a winner. They should give the flyers an asset - hello it's me 2050

Huge overpay for the Flyers. I think Robert Haag and a conditional third round pick is probably the sweet spot for a Jones trade. |

Yes it is clueless. Umberger was spent. Done like dinner. Cooked. Cant play. Another gem by Hextall. Cleary even you can see the diff no? Though according to you you going from Fake to Kessel is a huge downgrade. I hope they keep Fake and they rest of the "boys" as they have "earned" 1 more shot. - hello it's me 2050
I never said going from Jake to Kessel was a downgrade. I said Kessel and Jake had the same amount of points last season and Kessel is two years older, so I don’t see the future you do in Kessel if we brought him here. Than you brought up Kessel had one year left in his deal. So if you’re talking about one for one because the return has a lesser term, that’s a Hartnell for Umberger deal. If you think Kessel is going to come in here for one season and completely turn us around, that’s a different argument entirely. A dumb one, regardless of who is better than who. |

Plus I don't see why the Coyotes would do that deal anyway.

Patrick has next to no value for the Jackets. They need turnkey talent. NP is a human question mark. |

I do very easily. They cant attract free agents who can actually play. Fake gives them 3 years of control. Not like Fake is a washed up slug. |

Just imagine how fast he'd pedal if they dangled a hot dog in front of him.

I guess that is one way to look at it. I just don't see Jake moving the needle very much in that regard. Plus I don't really see Kessel waiving his m-nmc to come to Philly. |

it is a smart way to look at it assuming Arizona wants to at least try to put a decent team on the ice. They will need solid forwards who produce.
Sad that players now stay away from philly. This is how bad the franchise has fallen. Don't totally disagree he may not waive. Depends what the other options are.

So why would Arizona trade a forward who produces for a more expensive forward with a bigger cap hit and longer term? A guy who is their Masterson trophy nominee from this past season?

Same reason I said prior as well as Kessel is a free agent after this season. He likely walks. They will need a replacement. They get him for 3 years.
Really a Masterson nominee is part of your argument?

It is in that Arizona franchise obviously likes the guy.
And really, the Coyotes have control of an overpaid forward for 3 years is part of your argument?

Doesn't matter if they like him, he may not want to be there.
Kessel is also overpaid. What part of they don't attract free agents and have him under control are you having trouble with?

Not as overpaid as Voracek. The only trouble Im having is trying to understand your insistence that this would be a good deal for Arizona.
And from what I read, Kessel does enjoy it there.
