It's really the prime time for Habs considering the age of Price and Weber and the young guys coming up to replace some of the older guys who might be leaving as UFAs. They have a few more years of leeway but Bergevin was smart to go for it right now and it's paying off. I wasn't convinced as the season went on but it's totally working out. Can't say I'm fully cheering for them but would rather they win than Tampa, Boston or some of the other teams still in the mix.

To be honest, I thought the window for Price and Weber had shut down and that the next window would open when the kids had reached maturity so to speak based on how the season went but it looks like the pieces just took some time to fall into place. Price might not be the guy who gets you to the playoffs by himself anymore but he’s certainly one of those who can help you get through them, he been great so far in the playoffs.

I wouldn't be surprised if both have been confirmed but not yet made public.

Agreed there were rumours of an extension for MB before the playoffs even started and they made me furious then, now, not so much lol Thought it was a bit forward since they were barely making the playoffs, but they’re on their way to perhaps the top 4 so it’s hard to argue...even if they have had some lucky breaks...a bit like when Turgeon broke his arm or had his arm broken in 93 and the Islanders became a lot less hard to play against

I think that could explain DD looking a bit better and more relax in his presser. of course winning helps, but a new contract does too

Oh yeah Bergevin is definitely staying now and same goes for Ducharme as well. Guess we’ll see what he can do in a regular season when he has a whole training camp to put his mark on the team.

Tatar on the other hand.....

hopefully Romanov will stick around and not head back to Russia

Tatar is gone, the fact that they prefer using Lehkonen seems to indicate they are ready to move on, unless he wants to take a pay cut which is unlikely.

Romanov won’t return to Russia, let’s not be alarmist please

How do you leave Brayden Point all alone in front of the net? I mean the Red Wings do it all the time but I thought the Canes could play D?

He’s a slippery lil guy lol Good players find a way to find space, I’m hoping a certain number 22 is good at that too in time

Yeah Point is a heck of a player. I shouldn't be surprised. But someone had to have missed their assignment on that goal! 🤣

No matter what happen these playoffs the team needs an upgrade for top 6 forward and top 4 d, and depending on how the recovery of Evans go another C even if Danault were to return

Of course it does, but there’s nothing that can be done for that right now, don’t make me start to use my off season material

Schenn and Rutta aren't very good. Savard hasn't been good when he's played. Their LD is awesome though. Hedman, Sergachev, McDonagh. 2 former Habs!
