I don't get why hes perceived as a number 1. Hes underperformed everywhere hes played expect the OHL.

Where has he underperformed, he had 7pts in 7games at the World juniors this year, and had 20pts in 32 games in the AHL this year, and was said to be playing with a wonky shoulder in the beginning.

He was the 2nd overall pick and be first in this draft though

If LA is so high on him, they can keep him and we'll draft Power.

His 6 games in the NHL and his 32 in the AHL. The O isnt special anymore.

Lots of players had a "ok" start in the nhl and turned out elite he clearly wasn't ready for the nhl and most likely not this year either

Maybe small adds on both sides to even out.
