There would be a deterrent if there was a fixed minimum of games you’d get if you caused a head injury to a player. If you broke a rule and someone was concussed as a result you should know that you’ll have to serve a minimum of games and at it could be more if there are aggravating factors.

The eye for an eye approach doesnt make sense because every human being reacts differently to injuries and you can’t base the punishment on the level of injury sustained.

I will personally say that I had no idea this was going on, his family has NOTHING to do with this.

Yeah totally, separating the player vs the man is an important point. It's such an odd thing for people to go out of their way to track down his parents and harass them, guessing there's something not right there mentally that goes beyond hockey.
