This is pretty good stuff, this guy breaks the play and hit down pretty good. Scheifele deserved what he got.

And what happens if schiefele poke checks the puck,and it goes the other way for a chance to score and tie the game.does he still make contact with Evans?NO! And that's what makes it charging and that's why he got 4 games.

In this case I think intent and act matched. Goal was scored- it was after the play ended ... dirty hit. End of story.

What RULE did he break? The answer is NONE. He stopped skating at the top of the circle. Primary point of contact was the chest. The time between the puck leaving Evans stick and the initiation of contact was less than .2 seconds. No RULES were broken here. If you don't like it, maybe try TennisBuzz instead of HockeyBuzz because that was a clean hit.

The new NHL calls the outcome not the action. Odd that IIHF refs used to do that and it was annoying. It’s leaked into the nhl. It was a clean hit, but at the same time you can clearly tell the intent was crush him…1 game.

Hint: Take a closer look at the description of CHARGING. Read the whole thing just to be safe.

I thought 1 game max would have been appropriate - only to make his (legitimate) charging penalties from the previous game actually matter.

Beyond that:
Attempted hockey play? Questionable
Hit to the head? No - not principle point of contact
Jumped to hit? No
Kept striding for maximum impact? No
Prior history? No
