Converse argument, Edm took nothing but forwards and constantly was one of the worst teams in the league, until the best player probably ever joined their team. Healthy balance is needed for regular season and playoff success

I mean sure, but Brodie, Muzzin, and McD aren’t comparable (maybe have been at times, but not sustained by any means) to 1st line wingers or top tier 2C. Try trading for Weber or Suter during their prime and would have costed just as much as those guys. But yes, if you are trying to get a solid contributor at the end, you prolly didn’t have it to begin with. The glue guys are the acquire targets of good teams, unless your team is nothing but glue *cough Boston cough*
