Calgary seems similar to Buffalo in terms of there being a disconnect between the GM, the coach, and fans in terms of the direction of the team.

Hype? I don't understand hype for a coach anymore. Bylsma! Cup winning coach! Housley! HHOF Defenseman, did amazing things in Nashville! Ralph Krueger, master motivator, made an old slow veteran Euro team relevant at the World Tournament!

I don't know why people get their Richards hard over these guys. Gronberg? BBQ? Granato? Find the right (frank)ing guy for once. I'll skip the hype and move right to being content when they actually do something for this (frank)ing wasteland.

Power has had a good tournament. I think the bigger ice surface and playing with a guy like Stetcher (criminally underrated) definitely helps.

I would still personally go forward with our pick but I can understand why we go with him at #1.

I think Power is best served playing another year at Michigan and playing in the WJC though.

I thought the game was at 9est time ugh .

So I borrowed Hank's magic 8 ball, and I could only see right up to the day of the draft...

there were serious discussions about bringing on Nick Bagelstad, so that was seriously exciting.

I also heard Terry talking privately to Kevyn in the broom closet.. all he said was

"I don't (frank)ing care who you draft, make sure it's someone who can play for us this year so we can say we're doing our best to connect with the fans"

I heard Kevyn whimper a bit, reluctantly agreeing. Then I think Terry slapped him and said "good boy".
