The Sabres will know what his negotiations will be like prior to that meeting. I highly doubt they let him force his way to arbitration. They either sign him prior or trade him well before he has the chance to sit down in there. He's too valuable to let walk. He has more value as an RFA today than a pending UFA in September.

All insiders and Adams has maintained there was constant communication through the entire process. It's been made clear that Jack wants an unproven surgery and the team is uncomfortable with it. That's the "disconnect". And Jack is mad about it. And he's not empathizing with the team. But yes Dregs says they met as early as yesterday. They're probably meeting every day until a solution is reached for next steps. It's vital that whatever happens, happens soon so he's ready for camp.
