Im mot worried about next year
- gerbe75pts

I'm curious about the additional new draft lottery rules next year, where it states that a team cannot jump more than 10 spots in the draft.

Does that mean if a team ranked 13th through 16th wins the lottery drawing for the first overall, they get moved up from say 15 to 5? Or does it mean they redraw until one of the teams ranked 1st through 11th has their combination come out? Or are the lottery odds adjusted so only teams 1 - 11 are drawn for the 1st overall and only teams 1 - 12 are drawn for the 2nd overall?

I'm guessing they'll keep it simple and give teams 1 - 16 weighted odds, and if team 16's combination is pulled for the 1st overall, they just get moved up to 6th overall.

Still whispers going on about Columbus and Buffalo and Rhino and 1 of there goalie's. If that was to happen would think Adams would be asking for 1 of those 3 first rnd picks Columbus has too.
- Buff36

One of the guys on Eklund's buzzcast asked me about that idea yesterday. I still don't get the appeal of that idea a-tall with both goalies heading to UFA status next year

Elvis and a first.

They can keep Korpisalo.

Not you too!

How dare we trade a guy who just scored at a 30G pace for a frickin goaltender well on his way to UFA status and a pick that will help us in 4 years if ever!!!

Not a first. The Columbus 1st, meaning the 5th overall pick.

I'm not trading Reinhart for a goaltender and a pick in the 20's.

(frank) no to that.

If it's the Columbus 5th overall pick, maybe, but hell no to either the Tampa or Toronto pick that they have.

I really don't know either, both those guys are kinda like Ullmark neither one has played more than 37gms in a season.

If either of them had RFA eligibility left or a team-friendly long term deal, then I would get it.

Hell of a player.

Gets in Kucherov's face early in the game. Racks up three points when the team is on the ropes. Gets rocked a couple times and just keeps coming back harder.

Dude just does not give up. He doesn't have a letter on his shirt but he doesn't need it. He throws the entire team on his back when he has to.

If we trade our current 1C for a goaltender, I may actually explode or self ignite or something.

Bad things. Bad juju. Let it be false please.

I am not saying to do that just it's still out there, in my opinion it would have to be the 5th pick to even think about it. And maybe you could even make it a bigger deal with Risto being included.

Has all the traits of Toews, and is a better point producer. Said it many pages ago. He makes a good team look great.

He's going to be a fantastic goalie. No doubt. But UPL is going to surprise a lot of people either this year or next. Don't need to do that IMO.

Like Cong said, if it's their 1st, that's a good conversation to have. If it's the Leafs 1st I'm not interested.

Would rather get a forward and a top-10 pick elsewhere though

When he was drafted I said he was Saku Koivu 2.0

He's got all the heart of Koivu, but even more skill. Got really lucky with that kid.

I would love this, assuming Ana/Eichel become a marriage. Zegras thrown in and you kickstart the rebuild. I just don't see Ana doing that.

I want to say Lockport, it could curry some favor among the other degenerates around here.
