Hall was a unique situation
Using that for an example doesn’t project going forward
And it’s even worse now that Jack & Sam supposedly want out
I appreciate your optimism
But until i KNOW they’re staying
And until we actually get some good goalies here
I’m not gonna assume that’s gonna happen
When/if it does.....
then I’ll be less pessimistic sir - jdfitz77
Funny, I don't think we're last place next year if we trade Jack/Samson for nothing, if we resign Ullmark and get him a decent backup. But whatevs. |

We’re likely getting back mostly futures & cap dumps imo for them |

Many of Harrington's articles are opinions, though, and are very interesting, whether you agree with the writer or not |

1- not “watching closely” is different than not seeing it at all
So what u said said was an exaggeration of what i said & not correct
2- Allen was not good his rookie season before the injury
I was right about that
He obviously has ended up working out
But back then, he was mostly a mess
3- weird how u have time to look that up but not post all these worse charges you’ve been seeing
And again, even if there were....
it still doesn’t mean the hot on Evans wasn’t a charge
It’s the textbook definition
If u wanna claim the NHL is inconsistent.....
well no sh!t
But that was still a charge - jdfitz77
yeah josh sucked year 1
who was those wr's?
then in year 2 the wr's were better and he looked ok
shal I pull the archives when you said no way in hell he would get 4,000 passing yards and bump his comp % to close to 65%
I mean I can find that one as well, may take a little longer
#wr's don't matter much |

Granato had a better record than Ralph without Eichel, McCabe, Ullmark, Staal or Hall
Even if he gets players half as good as them the team is better
If they keep donnie meatballs |

You think a 20 goal 50-60 point winger is worth the 2nd overall pick? You're gonna be surprised that he's not and you're gonna get no where near what you think for Eichel either. - GPHawksfan
Sam had 25goals this season,
good for top10 in the nhl
Would’ve prorated out to 38goals in an 82game season
Also, It’s a weak draft
And idc what u think we are gonna get for Eichel
Thanks for stopping by though
Have a nice day |

So you think they would trade both Jack and Samson with not one NHL ready player coming back?
This is going a bit further than pessimism fitzy, no offense meant. Pretty easy to expect the worst given our track record. |

This is very true for the last 15 years....
Makes you really think about taking Power.. I still would like Anaheims 3rd and get Eklund.
Would not be disappointed in a Eichel for Zegras and 3OA straight up.
The return will depend on his neck. Is he fine? Will he need surgery? Will he be back this year? - DirtyDan
I’d want at least 1 more really good piece |

Frees ya Up to Add to a “bunch of needs,” while still getting quality. Idk why, Owen Power reminds me more of Griffin Reinhart and less of Scott Stevens the more I watch him online. If I’m BUF, I gladly capitalize on NJ’s NEED to add a big body D-man while shipping out a guy who’s vocalized not wanting to be here in Risto. With 3 2nd’s and 3 3rd’s you can add HQ depth like RW Chase Stillman, RD Roman Schmidt, C/LW Cam MacDonald, G Tristan Lennox, and may have a 2nd/3rd left to trade back up for a 1st. Options galore. |

Even if we get Byfield + back for Jack,
he’s gonna have less effect than Eichel did
So correct
I don’t believe the young players we get back for them will be of a significant help for NEXT season
As they grow & develop moving forward, sure
Just not much right away
And certainly not close to as much right away as Jack & Sam brought |

I'm with you. Not trying to make too many excuses, but with covid hitting, literally everyone being snakebit and the injury bug hitting hard...we had very little shot this year to do well. Not sure why people think it's destined to repeat. Could. That'd be incredibly unlucky, probability says lightning won't strike twice. |

They were .75 pts/game under Don, still worst in the league.
The divisions certainly had a big impact.

Guess it all depends on what Adams and Karmanos want in exchange for those players. Like you have said can't project things until you actually see it. |
