It was a race to the red line. It was an incredible collision with the much bigger guy bearing down like a runaway train. Could Scheifele have altered anything? Maybe. But had he gotten to Evans before he could finish the wrap around it would have been touted as a play of epic ROR proportions.

Scheifele wasn't holding back. It's the playoffs.

If he intended to put him in the hospital he coulda kept skating.

I mean we are going to get a goalie, two if Ullmark walks, by next season. There's plenty of UFA options and only so many teams looking for starters. To assume we'll have similar goaltending to this season, IMO, is a little pessimistic.

If Jack/Sam go, then we will get returns. Some may be futures, but there will be roster players as part of those trades. That's why I went with the status quo. Easier to look at the team than project returns and revisit that assessment.

Did he or did he not travel a long distance to apply the check? We both know that he did, and that's charging. The rule also allows for a stiffer penalty for a severe charge. If that wasn't a severe charge then I'd like for you to show me one.

The roster players we get could just be cap dumps, with the main value being futures
And it’s a fair assumption that the best of those available goalies will go to better teams & we’ll be picking up the scraps
