I’mma pass, I think it’s an overpay (yes I’m bias and Mangiapane is super underrated) but more importantly I think Calgary should be looking to rebuild than picking up a player to compete for a wild card spot for the duration of his contract.

We’re being told a rebuild won’t be happening but mortgaging the future when this team could potentially be really bad in a few years isn’t something I’m keen on.

Botts did a nice job of refilling the cupboards that were pretty bear. We found out the last 20 or so games we look to have a decent foundation to build with. Know it's time for Adams and Karmanos to help solidify that foundation and fill the cupboards some more to have a nice flow coming through the system. That way we don't have to use assets in trades to bring in marginal players to fill spots on the roster that should be taken by your prospects.

That's a little surprising because it was only a week or two ago that they were lamenting that someone was going to get seriously hurt the way the playoffs were going. The hit kind of reminded me of the blindside blocks that used to be legal in football.
