Take Killorn off their cap book too then? Or can we not afford that due to the Pearson deal?
- Nucker101

Trade(s) or buyouts to afford loss of ELC control. Slippery slope if not all moves planned simultaneously. It’s a knot that’ll take creativity & smarts to unravel.

9. Vancouver Canucks

Kimelman -- Kent Johnson, C, Michigan (NCAA): A high-end playmaker with great vision and some flair to his game. He's elusive carrying the puck and strong enough to win battles along the walls. He also showed his versatility this season, excelling on the wing and at center in his first college season, and should get better as he gets stronger.

Morreale -- Brandt Clarke, D, Barrie (OHL): A mobile, puck-moving righthanded shot who is considered an excellent passer and playmaker with great vision. He scored 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) and was plus-6 in 26 games on loan with Nove Zamsky in the Slovak Extraliga, the top professional league in Slovakia.

Very brief google research of Johnson show's that he's from Vancouver and played for the Trail Smoke eaters in the BCHL.

i'm sold on sentimental reasons alone.

Imo, Kent Johnson has the most skill of all the players in this draft.

If Benning doesn't have to take the blame for Jake, because he was only just brought in, then why does he get credit for Demko?
- Reubenkincade

We’ll never knows how much FA has had his hand in the cookie jar. There is more there than meets the eye. He certainly has had input & I wouldn’t doubt it if LE included. The unexplained eg TL gone must’ve had more to it than we know. A certain rift in philosophy if not meddling.

Even under him, it's a fact that the Canucks front office has had the lowest(or one of the lowest) total number of staff in the league during these past couple of seasons. FA really has put a lot of pressure on Jim.

He takes the blame/credit for JV, OJ, Petey, Hughes, Podz, Boeser, Demko and every other pick he made. Fact his, way more of his picks pan out than most GMs in the league.

Please explain what you mean by pan out.

There are how many Benning picks are regular players in the line up?

Too much of a load for sure. Simply too cheap & hurts the product directly.

Kent Johnson good chance another Tyson Jost. Project as a winger like many have.

Is his skill set legit on an NHL level? If not translating then a 3rd liner is his best bet. Saying that I Chaz more so if that’s the reasoning. Safer picks for need is the other option. The hunt for a 3C with 2C like upside. Strong 200’ player who is built for the NHL.

Seems more skilled than Jost. Did Jost have those puck skills as a prospect? I honestly don’t remember.

Lets stack up the prospects they've drafted(all rounds) against each other. I'll take Pettersson, Hughes, Boeser, Demko, Hog, Pod, Rathbone, etc over Tkachuk and co. all day
- Nucker101

Treliving’s had four first round picks since, and including, 2015, 6th-16th-26th-24th...that’s a great comparison to 23rd-5th-5th-7th-10th LOL.

The cernak obsession in here is for real and the guy has never even been rumored to be on the trading block. I don't get it.

Hopefully Seattle takes the best center in the draft, build the future through the middle of the ice. Assuming they get some decent defensemen and goaltending in the expansion draft.
