The most (frank)ed up one can get

- CanuckDon

2 goalies going in the top ten lol. I could see MAYBE Wallstatd going somewhere in there, but certainly not #1. And I don't think there's a hope in hell that 2 go that soon.

You are the greatest prospect hype machine. Worse than a kid in a candy store.

Make your tiers, find out how good you think their ceilings will be and put them together.

- manvanfan

Every time I start on it I waffle lol

Preoccupied with other roster moves & decisions. So my focus wanes seeing it a more imminent priority.

Ruby loves both.
- manvanfan

I was reading the brassmasters and he and scoutch seem to love jake Martin, ranked by them at around mid 40's ,rhd and solid defensively, maybe trade back grab a second to grab him

At 9? (frank) me i hope not.
- manvanfan

I cannot disagree tbh. Draft day I’ll definitely be more certain on who I want. So little data to go on.

My reply was meant for Northy
- Nucker101

I mean the fact he’s identified 9 top prospects in this draft and had the 9th overall pick really puts him in great position. He has a ton of leverage on any team that wants his pick.

He’s going to either walk away with a future core player or add a core player to this roster, maybe even do both.

- Nucker101

Funny how he identified 9 good players in this draft. If Canucks were picking 13th do think he would spend more time identifying 4 more? This guy is simply amazing and you’re lucky he’s in charge of the Canucks.

I think he goes before 9, which is good news for us.

Maybe or has he truly drawn a line on his tiers? Imo he has a certain player in mind.

It would be the Canucks luck if all 9 players were gone before they select at 9

Cant say I know brassmasters. Will has great videos and made great strides but i feel like he doesn't see what translates and what doesn't a lot of the time.

RHD always plucked higher than they probably should. Last couple years where I project my fav d to go, seem to end up 15 spots higher than I would have liked them. So if he ended up as a 3rd rounder, probably bet he goes mid 2nd.

I dont see him as risky per se. just bland. Not
Offensive. I wouldn’t draft a D this high in the draft that won’t produce. If he wasn’t 6’4 where would he be drafted?

I think if they were picking 13th, he'd either hope his guy falls, and if not then trade back to trade the pick for another J.T. Miller type of player.

As for your 2nd point, he's clearly on another level when it comes to operating at the draft table compared to guys like Treliving

What if he's a Carlo type? Perfect for Hughes.

I like scouching more so for the footage he shows, I agree that his actual analysis can be hit or miss. I also just flat out prefer analysis that focusses on weaknesses as well as strengths, usually during draft season all you see is fun/optimistic comparisons and focus on how amazing most prospects are at certain facets of the game, and then after a couple of years of development, reality slaps everyone across the face and suddenly Jett Woo doesn't have Bieksa's offensive upside anymore lol. Scouching does usually tend to mention weaknesses with some footage to back it up.

Woo might once he hits the NHL. Focusing on the defensive side a lot this year probably.
