That dude said he would've picked Albin Grewe instead of Podkolzin....

Let that sink in for a minute.

At least now you know who's opinion to "watch out for"

He picked Petey. Sinking nice lol

After skating full tilt from the red line and making partial contact with his head

Evans Looked dead for about 20 seconds.

Soucy got suspended for charging not long ago so I'm guessing 2-3 games

- Brooks_Light

Not disagreeing it’s a charge. Just saying that at first, the replay where you see him coming it looks like he’s skating full tilt the entire way, but the reverse angle shows him coast from the top of the circle in. He absolutely decided that he wasn’t going to make it in time to prevent the goal and that he was instead going to make a hit to make a guy pay.

I thought it was pretty bad, especially considering the context of the game and the vulnerable position Evans was in. I also thought there was major contact to the head, no?

Can see him getting 3. However, if they want poop like this actually out of the league, they have to crank suspensions up and give a hit like this a solid 8-10 games.

- NewYorkNuck

I dunno, seen it a couple times from different angles and it looks like he goes strait through center mass with his shoulder. Evans looked like he was out cold when he hit the ice, but he probably couldn’t breath.

I’m just thinking how the league has “hitting zones” and that seems like a place where a player should “expect to be hit”. It was predatory, should receive a suspension, but weirder things have happened.

9th for 1st/2nd/4th worth considering.

There are a few players around 14th I could take. L’Heuraux?

- Nighthawk

This is probably the year to consider it for sure. So many wild cards outside the 1st round.

I just don't know how much of a difference the top 10 guys are from the rest. There doesn't seem to be a clear cut group from 10-20. Only a few dudes consistently in that range but honestly not many I know much about yet.
Lucious, Svenkov, Lambos, Raty, Sillinger, Pinelli.

As for L'Heureux I don't know much about him but I'm generally not a big fan of Q prospects

I’m not a prospect guy, I have no idea who Grewe is (unless you mean the guy with the minions), but neither guy has played a single game in the NHL. It’s completely possible, even plausible that your take will end up smelling.

Pretty sure he was also one of the few way back in the day who was high on Kesler when everyone had him pegged as a 3C prospect. I remember that back when I was a kid lurking this site lol

Fair enough, I’ve just got that image of Dallas Stars player casually putting the puck over the empty net and Edmonton coming back to force overtime...

Buffalo - Power
Seattles the wild card = Clarke??
Anaheim - Berniers
Hopefully NJD take Hughes
Columbus take McTavish.

really really hope Wallstedt goes before we pick

So One of Edvinsson, Johnson, Eklund, Guenther could still be around

- Brooks_Light

PLD didn't work out doubt CBJ tries that again with McT they probably grab Johnson to convince Laine to extend. But McT gone before Canucks pick

Seattle needs pop why pass on US marketing opportunity Berniers for a non splashy D in Clarke. But he's probably gone by Canuck pick.

I agree with Manvan big Swiss D is Duck like taking Edvinsson real possible.

Wings high on Wallstedt.

That leaves Guenther and Eklund, who do you like?

Well we should all temper our expectations. If he makes an impact in a middle 6 role and puts up 25-35 points in his first year, great. I'm pumped to get 3 full years of ELC.

And the fact that our 2nd rounder came in a put up a better PPG than Hughes, Kakko & Dach in his rookie year is a big win IMO

Your memory on this and my book have always disagreed. He might have been a last minute change but he sure wasn't the first to want Petey. He is in the book as wanting Mittelstadt.

Haven't watched enough of Guenther

I like Eklund - kid had a heck of a season considering he went through a slew of injuries before he actually got to play. Put up really great numbers once he got going. I'd like him even more if he spends this whole year playing centre in Sweden.

Imagine we could've had MIddlestadt or Glass or Vilardi instead of Petey. And now some already want him gone.....
What an incredible fan base we have.

I would take Guenther over Eklund. Different players but Guenther has higher ceiling. Cole Sillinger a natural center is completely forgotten about. Guy was 1.5 ppg on a brutal USHL team. I would take him many spots ahead of Mctavish.

Canadian but born in Clb, OH. Sillinger might be the pick for clb.

Eklund probably have a bit higher floor right now because of what he did vs men this season. Eklund is an older prospects. Guenther has more work to do.
