I love tks potential but Columbus might like him more owning those rights all that time. They need players to build around who will not jet as soon as they can. He fits that bill. Issue is how much more you want to add for a potential one year deal. He’s gonna get 8m plus so even if we trade we’re still paying him like an fa even if he’s willing to sign here. Tk and a first or tk and one of the d prospects not named York. Toss in ak47 if needed |

I called them a paper tiger. I wanted to see how they would play once they faced someone outside their candy division. I guess I wont get to see it now.

I’ve said it all year, they were poorly constructed for the playoffs. Their scorers were tearing it up vs an inferior div and I expected them to struggled in the dance. I didn’t see them losing this series especially up 3 1. Remember how hard Montreal played us last year? This doesn’t shock me. I bet the leafs regret sending that 1st for foligno haha. I love laughing at that pathetic organization as I’m surrounded by leafs fans here. |

I wonder if they look to deal some of those high priced forwards for some help on defense?

Well, you’d think so. I mean, you can’t have half your cap tied up in 4 forwards. D and goaltending win in the playoffs. They threw Andersen under the bus but he wasn’t the issue. It’s that they have no strong dmen nor any forwards interested in playing d. Problem is, too d don’t grow on trees as we painfully know. |

While he had to make those, We should have won off that Tobias drive that called a charge. Guy wasn’t planted ans had feet moving. That’s an easy 3 point play but instead Wizards go to the line and take lead |

So brutal! I thought NHL officiating was bad this year but man, this may have one-upped it. |

Just think about it. No matter how bad the Flyers are, at least we arent the Leafs. So much talent and they cant get past the 1st round.
Luckily I picked MTL in my bracket. |

Core Players for the Flyers are:
Couturier
Farabee
Hayes
Provorov
Hart
These are the guys the Flyers build around. I dont know if the Flyers have a 6th core piece. Maybe Sanheim but I think he has ways to go to prove he is a core piece. - xShoot4WarAmpsx

Its a little weird how Konecny almost disappeared this past season. His stats weren't drop off a cliff bad, but compared to the playoff year he was practically invisible for the entire year.
Yes he probably could be considered a core player, but even when I was going through who I would consider core, he didn't come to mind. Though maybe he could be on there instead of Hayes.

It was awesome. Only drawback was that it blew my series parlay. I got every series right except TO/Mon. Though I did hedge on Montreal for game 7 and did end up coming out ahead.

When you see how a small guy like Gallagher plays, I wish for nothing else but to see TK play with that level of pitbull-ness. |

It seemed like TK lost some of his swagger this past season. In some ways he is our "Marchand". NOT in terms of skill level but more in terms of being our pest(not best) player who is mouthy and pisses off the other team a LOT while producing.
TK seemed to be a lot more subdued all season long. Hopefully he settles back in as one of our entrenched top 6 wingers.

Regarding the defense, I am not sure if I were Fletcher I would go all in on Jones or Hamilton. I think I would rather have 4 really good, tough defenseman at the $4-$6M range versus one defenseman at $9M+. I still believe Tampa is going to be in a bind with Point and Cirelli needing to be exposed in the ED because Tampa has 7 forwards with a NMCs already and must protect them. I also believe Nashville has to make a decision around Ekholm, because they already have Ellis and Josi tied up long term and have to pay Fabbro now. There is also Larsson from Edmonton that I consider to be a good option as a FA. So I would rather fill the needs on the team via trade and smart FA signings versus going all in on 1 specific player. |

Watching the Bruins/Islander game last night, something really hit me. Charlie McAvoy is a really, really good defenseman. I don't know how the Bruins do it, I really dont!?! I don't know if its the coaching, or just being around players like Chara and Bergeron, but it really is night and day when you compare MCAvoy's growth to become a top tier defenseman in the NHL to that of Provorov, who in my opinion is not anywhere close to what I had hoped he would become. Provorov is a good defenseman but he is not top tier, while McAvoy, who was drafted a year later at 14!, clearly is. |

TK is not close to be as strong on his skates as Marchand unfortunately. TK will need to bulk up this summer if he ever hopes to come close to Marchand. |
