I love the exercise, Jeremy. Some good drop-ins and ideas/proposed. Am looking forward to those to come. But, here’s where ai am on players coming to Detroit; anyone who comes here needs to be laden with a high draft choice (weaponizing the cap for another year, MAYBE 2 but that’s it…), OR is a player who will be here for the long-haul AND contribute to righting the ship.
The salary dumps will definitely stock the draft cupboard for the next 2-3 years (after this draft). At the rate we’re going, we’ll be swimming in kids that have no place to go!! Darn, what a place to be in, huh?!?!?

Thanks for that brother. The reason I dove this deep is that Yzerman has made me think completely different about everything. After decades of no big changes, he’s made huge, fast changes. The man deserves an award for flipping this roster. So it made me want to dive deeper into everything. I love that you guys are coming along for the ride. All that aside, you are definitely in a good headspace. The WIIFM has to be there in every single deal. And Yzerman finds it, man does he find it. I’d hock my favorite guitars just to be able to listen to Detroit’s war room during the draft. (One of them is a Gibson Les Paul with P90s, but it’d be worth it!)
