What’s the opinion on Jordan Greenwood? I saw him in that last game vs VGK and was like this is the guy we need. 6-6 and not a wussy. I’m sure some knowitall will whip out his charts but is we him as tall like Spinning Idiot TT but functional. |

Limited to 1 year commitment remaining only.
With $15m already on the books and yielding average 4th line production they really shouldn't take on a longer term commitment.
The whole, we need vets is way over blown in my opinion. They have paid $$$$$'s out for vet leadership to finish bottom 6 for a damn decade now. - IonSabres
True statement but I’m only suggesting taking on a bad contract if it makes the deal work and the prospects/picks are grade A. |

If any of you jokers live in Clarence, and you're thinking of getting a pie from the newly opened Depot Pizzeria (in the old Bozannas on Main), it's (frank)ing gross.
Bland sauce tastes like it literally came from a jar, and there was waaaaay too much of it. Soggy dough. And overpriced.
I'm not a pizza snob, but I'll never go back.

I would be interested in him, Minnesota has 5 guys with NMC so it's gonna be interesting on who they decide to protect. |

Just been stalking this thread but I’m assuming you’re talking about greenway. Depending on rebuild length you’re looking at him being in his prime or closer to 30. I personally see him as a high end 3rd liner that can slot into a second line for a net front presence if needed. Despite pretty poor stats(well maybe not in Buffalo) gotta love the eye test on the kid. He’s someone you’re more likely to flip for a middle draft pick or two at the deadline to a contender than someone you build around though. But now that I’ve put my opinion in he’ll light it up the next few years. |

I still think Carolina could be a dark horse for Eichel.
They have $27M in cap space this offseason with Hamilton being their only impactful UFA.
If they think Eichel can put them over the top I can definitely see them stepping up to the plate.

Not 100% sure.
There are several teams that can give up more than Carolina, however that doesn’t mean Carolina couldn’t put up the most competitive offer.
They do have several prospects that could be of interest, most notably Seth Jarvis and Ryan Suzuki (brother of Nick Suzuki of the Habs).
They’re more of a dark horse then a favourite but they definitely have the cap space to make a move like that.
Edit: Svechnikov needs a deal as well. However still more than enough cap space. |

Meh it’s a moot point until Hamilton signs with another team he’ll go to fa regardless because of expansion draft. After svech, Hamilton (who I completely expect to resign), and 2 goalies signed since all current roster goalies are FAs. They price themselves out cap wise. I could see it if Gardiner waives his LNTC. I just don’t know why Buffalo would do it unless they just love Jarvis or Suzuki who’ll both be competing for roster spots next season.

Don't need to build around him, just build with him and that size. |

Apparently he is from Canton Ny, so maybe he wouldn’t mind being close to home. I just noticed his size and don’t f with my tendencies. He could teach the rest of the purse swingers.
I also wanted Corey perry last off season too. |

Colorado is already up 2-0 on Vegas.
Why is Lehner in net? Did MAF get injured? |

Greenway would be a nice addition, definitely bring a little nastiness with some skill to the team. |

Giving MAF a rest day I believe.
Colorado is just skating them into the rink though. So much speed and skill.
This is what tanking is supposed to look like |

Craziest thing about this is Byram is in the press box and Newhook is just playing his first few career NHL games.
Can pencil in the Avs for a couple cups this decade.

We missed on several picks. This could be us. That’s why I’m not opposed to tanking. The blueprint is there, we just put it through the paper shredder in our rebuild. |

The Avalanche have a management team as good as the product on the ice, that’s the difference.
They were able to surround Mackinnon, Landeskog, Rantenen, and Makar with serious veteran talent.
They traded a 2nd for Burakovsky.
Traded two seconds for the best defensive d-man in the league in Devon Toews
Got Nazem Kadri for Barrie and Kerfoot.
Saad for Zadorov.
Dealt a disgruntled Duchene for Sam Girard and the pick that turned into Bowen Byram
The core of the team was built via high draft picks and the management team made the right decisions at the professional level |

You know it's nowhere near that easy, and it's going to become much more difficult if/when the duo of Landeskog and Makar are making a combined $19M per starting next season. |
