Maybe LA takes risto with reinhart
- Anderdog

Could be Dog, rumors at the trade deadline were they were looking for a physical RD. Thought Risto and Kempe were gonna get swapped until LA got him signed last minute.

I like Vancouver as a spot for Reinhart.

Reinhart for Boeser.

Hockey trade.

Reunite the two Minnesota boys in Mitts and Boeser.

- Pegullaville

That wouldn't surprise me either. Just think LA goes after 1 of Eichel or Rhino

Why would we want someone that old in a trade for Eichel?
1- u wanna maximize his value & get YOUNG talent for the rebuild
2- we’ll have all the cap space in the world (exaggeration, but we’ll have PLENTY), to bring in “leaders” on SEPARATE DEALS- and bc of their contracts, guys will be available pretty cheap

We don’t need anymore sh!tty gmtm wannabe trades dude
No thank you

- jdfitz77

1- Evidently you missed the part where I said part of the return. Sorry I want some veteran leadership worth a damn that I want to mold Cozens into that I’m not picking up off the street in free agency or for trading away slop.
2- Whole lotta not worth a damn.
3- Fans aren’t lucky enough to have me construct the team.
4- Have a good night.

So not to rehash the past couple hours, but from what I remember of Jack's injured neck...

12 weeks is up about now
Sabres Doctors and Eichel Doctors both examine Jack and make their recommendations (independently I would imagine)
Assuming recommendations are different, Jack can file Arbitration.

Now, assuming Sabres win, I have to believe Jack still has an option to have the surgery of his choice....but I also imagine it comes with
- surgery at his expense
- contract cancellation should the surgery cause limitations
I would suspect Jack would need to buy Insurance on himself to protect himself.

There is no way they can force him to have fusion surgery if he doesn't want it...but they sure can shift all the risk onto him for the disc replacement surgery.

That's how I see it.

Thank you to all who served our country!

Is Zeppelin considered “metal” though?
I’ve never thought of them that way

I wouldn't consider them metal. They're more just rock, if we're putting labels on things.

I’ll keep pumping the Sam for Matty Tkachuk trade too
If we’re getting a bunch of “futures” for Jack,
I’d like a young “established” NHLer for Sam

Or ask for a trade and hope the other team allows him to have the Surgery.

No, i saw your “part of the return” comment
It’s just not smart to have 1 of the pieces be an older vet that won’t be around long when u can get another very talented young piece to be here for a decade or so
Especially when overpriced Vet “leaders” can be had in separate deals for relatively cheap
Especially if that Vet (like Benn who u suggested) is well past their prime & no longer a “difference maker”

I’m not discounting the “leadership” factor
I agree it’s needed
Let’s just do it on a cheaper way instead of limiting the great return we can get for Jack

if not for zeppelin, we would not have what we have today

so many of these bands formed from late 70's on list them as their influence

because of that, I consider them metal

I actually think they were more progressive rock than metal. I've been reading a biography on Rush - when they first heard Zeppelin they knew that they wanted to be progressive like they were.

Oh for sure. Huge influence on everyone who really ever picked up a guitar. The old "without them, there would be no (insert group here)".

But metal? There's nothing that says metal to me about Zeppelin.

I hate musical labels, anyway. It's all just rock and roll to me.

Rush was very Zeppelin-esq on their first album.

And I'd agree that Zeppelin were very progressive in their songwriting. They didn't stick to any pattern or formula. They're just as experimental as Yes or Genesis, minus the 22 minute songs.

Fair point, the injury is distracting from the fact that this already felt inevitable.

They didn't elicit and explore potential Eichel trades last offseason for no reason. Adams was gun shy last offseason. He won't be this offseason, unless...

To get the best return for Jack you need to take back some celery. Getting a wise old gritty player as part of the package will happen to make a deal work for both sides.

Limited to 1 year commitment remaining only.
With $15m already on the books and yielding average 4th line production they really shouldn't take on a longer term commitment.

The whole, we need vets is way over blown in my opinion. They have paid $$$$$'s out for vet leadership to finish bottom 6 for a damn decade now.
