Sabres like brind'amour
Friedman reported that and retracted story
But pretty sure he staying with Carolina - Anderdog
IMO:
Rod the Bod is a pipe dream for here. He's staying in Carolina from all reports, just trying to help his staff out by squeezing more money for them from ownership....good on him for it.
And why would Kerry & Tim wait until now to hire Rutherford...why not just offer it when Karmanos was hired on? I don't believe they have yet come to the conclusion that they are the problem. Hopefully, Adams has enough moxy to placate their need to interfere by letting them have their way with trivial matters and is able to leverage his relationship to get his way on the rest.

Guess like everything else we will find out soon enough.

I must say, some of the most entertaining reading comes from various outlets covering the Leafs when they make their annual trek to Failure...and do so in epic ways.
IF, a relative big if, they lose Monday in game 7, holy poop Toronto might turn into Portland for completely different reasons...might just take the torch from Vancouver too.
Kong's posted Twitter was funny...so are the comments in James Mirtle's article on The Athletic.

Rod is very much a pipe dream. I wish he’d sign and make it official. Get his staff locked down and be done with Pegs latest infatuation.
Pegs are never the problem. They know more than you. And bringing Jim in means Kim would have to give up a title. She needs to make sure Rutherford can’t teach her anything first. I’m guessing Kim has given Rutherford a standardized “NHL president” exam that she designed. Jim hasn’t passed and his cookie game is way below standard.

Any of these players tickle your fancy. Vilardi could be intriguing for Rhino, of course there would need to be another piece or 2 added. - Buff36
Reinhart to LAK makes more sense to me from LAK perspective than Jack.
Personally, Vilardi's back issues make me a bit nervous for the long haul...maybe Turcotte + something (Kupari?)

Yes that is a worry, seems to have put it behind him but you just never know with that, unfortunately Jack will be dealing with the same thing for the rest of his career, once fixed might never have another problem, but just don't know. Think there's a few good trading partners out West for Rhino if they move him.
Ahhh thank you. I thought I saw that he signed an extension.
I doubt he leaves - Sabretooth9
He has a offer on the table, but he wants his staff taken care of too. Be interesting, LeBron said awhile back that Carolina has been known to be cheap in that aspect.

Yeh the rumor a few weeks ago was like 2 mill or something close to that

Rutherford wants all the power. Terry and Kim have trust issues and they are the best Sabres gm
The reason Karmanos took so long to announce was waiting on Rutherford too
Karmanos coming in was what Rutherford and Adams wanted

Interesting considering what happened in Pittsburgh where the 2 were thought to have had a falling out considering Rutherford seemed to throw Karmanos under the bus.
