Half of the players you named aren't even top 6. Stamkos doesn't play. Fast, Staal and McGinn are bottom six players. As are Jost, Nichuskin and Saad for their teams.

As for TB, they will have to lose players eventually.

Love when these kind of things are brought up without any perspectives. MacKinnion signed that contract after being rather ordinary in his 1st 3 seasons and many were saying he wouldn't live up to his draft position. It was until his 5th season that he exploded into the player he has become.

It was also his 2nd contract. He won't be cheap anymore.
