From the games I watch, Grubauer played really well. .922 save percent and 1.95 GA this year in the regular season, .936 and 1.75 in the 4 games so far in the playoffs.

He was injured. He even said so after the season was done that he wasn't 100% when he came back from injury.

I think the same can be applied to tanev. I didn't want to re-sign him, at his age and cost and term, and despite the Flames not making the playoffs, he also had a great season.
