Unrelated, but that movie was fantastic. John Candy was an absolute treasure.

When he died I was crushed. Proud, successful, and incredibly talented Canadian and I worshiped him because of it.

I said this years ago when JB was first hired. The crew that FA put together to lead this franchise through its biggest rebuild in its entire history was a joke. And the joke keeps on rolling.

Bring in someone like Bob Nicholson, and have him fix things.

See my comment above. I just hate our GM and I think every time he makes a public comment he just looks more dumb. The fact this clown got a contract extension blows my mind.

I love it when you're this fired up in the morning.

We’ll see. I mean, yes, I am full of it, but I do think Vegas takes the series. It won’t be 4 but it will be shocking.
- 1970vintage

Up until the last game of the Wild series Vegas had 14 goals in 6 games. My guess is they dry up completely against the firepower of the Lanche.

The Sedin's joining management is PR fluff aimed at selling tickets. JB needs guidance from an experienced hockey executive, not rookie ex-players. The organization currently is in no position to train new staff with their current personnel.

The Oiler model. Hopefully it turns out better.
Picked up a bottle of Don Jullio, the amber one. So many to choose from.

I’m getting these Gymshark pop up adds and they are driving me nuts. I’m in love with the model in those adds. Marry me Whitney!

The amber is reposado, good choice, not too oaky. Get Don Julio 70 if you can find it.

Yup.

Benning used his daughter as a shield when asked about his feelings regarding a fan sponsored banner asking for his termination. According to Jim it didn’t bother him but his daughter was hurt by the action. Why would he say that? Leave your daughter out of it. Just say “it doesn’t bother me” and end it there.

But he didn’t. He knew exactly what he was doing when he brought his daughter into the conversation. He wants the perpetrators to feel guilt and maybe receive some public backlash because the mental state of a young girl is at risk.

What a joke.

So if he’s concerned about his daughters mental well-being then I wonder if that concern was also present when something much more grievous happened like the wussy magnet picture leaked out. But I don’t remember JB commenting on his concern then. Similar to the Virt situation. Our GM is a (frank)ing clown.

He's a foot in his mouth speaker. But when asked a question directly, by Taylor, about banner's effect on his family what did you expect him to say?

To be fair, the actual question did ask how this experience had affected him and his family.

All things considered, I thought Jim Benning's interview on Friday offered positive updates on things I'm hoping will happen this summer.

That — plus an overlooked ex-Canuck still in the playoff mix — in the new blog.

Which one? 70 or Amber?

I’ve got a bottle of aged in my freezer and a bottle of almond, got them from the town of Tequila.
