I'd bet less than one in five watched 20% or more of that series with the other 4 formulating their opinion using stats, analytics, highlights and like-minded opinions on social media.

Watched 2 of the 4 games and all of the overtime with one eye

A regular season player

Fair enough. From what I saw, which was about 40-50% of the series, he and Draisaitl were forced to carry the entire team...and that doesn't work in the nhl

Also he loves Landeskog.

Take away his secondary assists like he did McDavid

3 points.

He picks and chooses when and when not to apply certain stats, ideas.

i have not watched 1 McJesus game this year regular or post season... But does he not up his game in the playoffs because he is getting the other teams top defensive players more often than not where as in the regular season he might not be that hyperly focused upon? I'm asking for a friend

gerbe's tone is making it look like he's a hater, but I get it.

McDavid's otherworldly ability to score 2 ppg during the season was literally halved during the playoffs.

While still an exceptional player, and there is no doubt, he underwhelmed for his abilities.

Only clarifying cause this discussion is sillypoop.

Not all secondary assists are created equal too right. Context is important.

Sometimes the secondary assist is the most skillful play of the entire goal, other times it’s a breakout pass or a random cycle play that gets someone on the scoresheet and is not so skillful.

Tough to asses in a broad lens.

McDavid does not have over a point per game in his playoff history.

He has 13 points in 17 games.

They did not make the playoffs last year.

He had 22 points in 9 games against the Jets in the regular season; he scored at least 2 points in every game. And he came away with one pretty goal and 3 secondary assists in the series while only 4 of his 22 points against the Jets in the regular season were secondary.

It is totally fair to question if he can come through in the playoffs, and to date, he hasn't.

Sometimes yes, these weren't. One was a blocked shot that fell into Draisaitl's lap for a pretty easy goal, and another was Yamamoto making a play at the net and Draisaitl banging home the rebound; I was surprised McDavid even got an assist on that one.

They're wrong.

The NHL counted the round-robin non-eliminating seeding games as "playoffs" too when they weren't.

Edit: It's hilarious you give every excuse to McDavid, but want to run Eichel out of town.
