I like Cal,he puts up decent numbers on our club with mediocre defense in front of him.i think he can help keep us competitive and out of the basement while this rebuild transition is going on.im not totally sold yet as to whether or not he can handle the full load of a season but as a 20-30 game backup he looks steady and capable.

Hahaha the Oilers ! OMG I fell asleep with them leading 4-2 in the 3rd and just checked out the highlights. I had no idea they lost until watching the recap just now ! Oh man that's hilarious. Love it.

I think Botts had a vision, he knew he had to rebuild the pipeline. He just went heavy D a lot and the trades he made to fill spots because there wasn't any prospects to fill them didn't work out. I often wonder what this team would have looked like if Botts would have been here before Murray, if they switched time frames. But can't go back. Need Adams and Karmanos to hit it right know.

Think to try and build a team for the long haul, trying to build a strong foundation throughout the organization. Did he make mistakes and hold some cards to long sure. But don't know how much the Pegula's had a hand in stopping some of the stuff he did or wanted to do. Was he perfect NO, but it's starting to look like he and the people he brought in had a eye for talent drafting wise.

You heard it hear first, a PPG playoff player doesn't show up in the playoffs.

Sucks in playoffs, yet Sabres are going to have to give up Eichel, Cozens, Mitts, Quinn, picks, goalies, Etc.
